Reliance Digital reported on September 23, 2026, that the 256GB model’s MRP remained ₹1,34,900. Its lower effective prices depend on conditions such as exchange eligibility, the old device’s model and condition, and bank-card offers; these are not universal prices. Reliance Digital’s price report explains those conditions.
A Gadgets 360 comparison dated September 11, 2026, listed the 256GB Deep Blue model at ₹1,32,900 on Amazon. That is a dated, color-specific listing—not a guaranteed current price. What are the iPhone 17 Pro specifications?
Design and display
- Build: Aluminum unibody, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back.
- Colors: Silver, Cosmic Orange and Deep Blue.
- Display: 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED with a 2622 × 1206-pixel resolution at 460 pixels per inch. Apple notes that the rounded-corner screen measures 6.27 inches when measured as a standard rectangle.
- Display features: Dynamic Island, Always-On display, adaptive ProMotion up to 120Hz, HDR, True Tone, P3 wide color and up to 3000 nits peak outdoor brightness.
Apple’s specification page lists dimensions of 71.9 × 150.0 × 8.75mm. Its regional page lists the phone at 204g, while Apple’s US support page lists 206g, so the published official specifications conflict on weight. Confirm the India-specific SKU’s weight with Apple or the seller if it matters to your purchase. Apple’s regional iPhone 17 Pro specifications and Apple’s US support specifications show the discrepancy.

Chip and performance claims
The phone uses Apple’s A19 Pro, with a 6-core CPU (two performance cores and four efficiency cores), a 6-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says its vapor-chamber cooling design enables up to 40 percent better sustained performance than the previous generation. That is Apple’s comparison, not an independent benchmark; specifications alone do not establish how the phone performs in a particular workload.
Rear cameras
There are three 48MP Fusion rear cameras:
- Main: 24mm equivalent, ƒ/1.78.
- Ultra Wide: 13mm equivalent, ƒ/2.2, with a 120-degree field of view.
- Telephoto: 100mm equivalent, 4x optical zoom, ƒ/2.8. Apple also lists 12MP optical-quality 8x telephoto framing, a 16x optical-quality zoom range and digital zoom up to 40x.
Optical-quality framing and digital zoom are different claims: the listed 40x figure is digital zoom, not 40x optical magnification.
Front camera and video
The front camera is an 18MP Center Stage camera with ƒ/1.9 aperture and autofocus. Apple lists 4K Dolby Vision recording and professional formats and features including ProRes up to 4K at 60 frames per second with external recording, ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2 and genlock support. These describe recording capabilities; they are not independent assessments of image quality or a claim that the phone replaces a dedicated professional camera system.

Battery and charging
Apple rates the iPhone 17 Pro for up to 33 hours of video playback or up to 30 hours of streamed video playback. For fast charging, Apple specifies up to 50 percent charge in 20 minutes with a 40W-or-higher USB-C adapter and cable, or up to 50 percent in 30 minutes with a 30W-or-higher adapter and MagSafe Charger. These are Apple’s figures, not independent test results, and the required accessories are sold separately. Actual results depend on use and charging conditions. See Apple’s technical specifications for the manufacturer’s figures.
Connectivity and SIM
Apple’s launch material lists Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, supported by its N1 wireless networking chip. Apple’s US support specification describes dual eSIM and no physical SIM compatibility. Because that SIM information is for the US version, Indian buyers should confirm the exact local model and their carrier’s eSIM support before purchase rather than assume every market’s SKU is the same.
Water and dust resistance
The iPhone 17 Pro has an IP68 rating under IEC 60529. Apple says it was tested in controlled laboratory conditions to a maximum depth of 6 metres for up to 30 minutes. This does not make the phone waterproof: Apple says resistance can decrease with normal wear, and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Avoid deliberate water exposure.

How does the iPhone 17 Pro differ from the Pro Max?
The Pro Max is a separate, larger model; its specifications should not be attributed to the standard Pro. Apple announced a ₹1,49,900 India starting price for the Pro Max at launch, compared with ₹1,34,900 for the Pro. The Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and a 2TB storage option, while the Pro has a 6.3-inch display and tops out at 1TB.
| Model | India launch starting price | Display | Maximum listed storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17 Pro | ₹1,34,900 | 6.3 inches | 1TB |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max | ₹1,49,900 | 6.9 inches | 2TB |
Those are launch starting prices, not current retailer quotes. The larger Pro Max display may suit buyers who prioritize viewing area, while the standard Pro is the smaller of the two. The cited specifications do not establish that the Pro Max’s cameras or battery are otherwise identical to the Pro’s.
What should you check before buying in India?
- Choose storage based on how much space you need; the Pro configurations are 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
- Compare the final price for the precise color and capacity. Treat exchange and bank discounts as conditional, and verify their terms at checkout.
- Confirm the local model’s SIM arrangement and eSIM compatibility with your carrier.
- If fast charging matters, account for the separately sold compatible adapter, cable or MagSafe Charger required for Apple’s stated charging conditions.
- Do not rely on the IP68 rating as protection against routine or intentional water exposure; resistance may diminish over time.
