The advertised ₹53,817–₹54,149 iPhone 17 figures and ₹56,990 iPhone 17 Pro figure combine retailer discounts, eligible-card benefits and the value of an exchanged phone. They are not cash prices available to every buyer, and the final amount depends on your handset model, condition, card eligibility, inspection and the live promotion.
How the ₹54,000 iPhone 17 price is calculated
The standard 256GB iPhone 17 launched at ₹82,900, according to Mint’s 5 September 2026 calculation. Its example uses a qualifying Flipkart card and a phone in excellent condition:

A later Big Billion Days example
India Today reported a separate 16 October 2026 listing in which the 256GB iPhone 17 was shown at ₹86,999, against a crossed-out ₹99,900. A ₹5,000 Flipkart Axis or Flipkart SBI card discount reduced the checkout price to ₹81,999. An example iPhone 14 exchange benefit of ₹27,850 produced an effective price of ₹54,149.

The ₹55,000 exchange illustration was based on an iPhone 15 Pro. Your old phone may be worth less after inspection, and the exchange bonus and cashback require the promotion’s stated eligibility. Reliance Digital’s own offer page also lists an iPhone 17 Pro effective starting price of ₹56,990 through these combined benefits. Apple had not confirmed an official price drop, so this should be treated as a promotion rather than a permanent MRP change.
The same promotion listed the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max at an effective ₹71,990. That is a separate model and should not be confused with the Pro’s ₹56,990 example.

What you actually need to qualify
- Choose the exact storage and retailer listing. Confirm whether the offer is for the 256GB iPhone 17, 256GB iPhone 17 Pro or another configuration.
- Check the direct discount. Retailer reductions are applied before card and exchange benefits and may be limited to a specific sale window.
- Use the eligible card or bank method. For the Mint iPhone 17 example, that means an eligible Flipkart SBI or Axis Bank credit card. The later listing specifies Flipkart Axis or Flipkart SBI. The Pro promotion includes bank cashback, but the qualifying bank and transaction terms must be verified at checkout or in store.
- Enter your old phone accurately. Select the correct brand, model, storage and condition. The displayed exchange value is tied to those answers.
- Prepare for inspection. Functional problems, cracked glass, dents, deep scratches, battery or display issues and mismatched device details can change or invalidate the quote.
- Read the final payable amount. Separate the immediate payment from exchange credit, exchange bonus and later cashback. Only the resulting total is the effective price.
Effective price versus cash price
An effective price subtracts value that you receive in different ways. The exchange portion is the assessed value of your old phone, not free money. A buyer without an eligible handset, card or qualifying transaction will pay more than the headline figure.
