The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the larger, heavier phone, with a 6.9-inch QHD+ display, built-in S Pen and four rear camera modules. The iPhone 16 Pro is more compact and lighter, with a 6.3-inch display and Apple’s A18 Pro chip. Their specifications point to different priorities, not a proven overall winner. A fair price comparison also needs matching storage, condition, seller and purchase terms.

Which phone is easier to handle?

The iPhone 16 Pro is the more compact option: Apple lists it at 149.6 × 71.5 × 8.25 mm and 199 g. Samsung lists the S25 Ultra at 218 g, and its 6.9-inch screen puts it in a larger size class. The difference is practical: a bigger panel can suit reading, video and split-screen work, while the iPhone’s smaller footprint may be more comfortable for one-handed use or smaller pockets. Handling is a preference, not a universal advantage.

How do the displays compare?

Both phones offer refresh rates up to 120Hz, but Samsung lists a larger panel and higher resolution: 6.9 inches and 3120 × 1440, versus Apple’s 6.3 inches and 2622 × 1206. Those figures establish screen size and pixel dimensions; they do not by themselves show which display looks better in everyday use. Brightness, color, viewing conditions and personal preference matter too, and the cited specifications are not a comparative display test.

What do the camera specifications mean?

The iPhone 16 Pro’s rear system comprises a 48MP main/Fusion camera, a 48MP Ultra Wide and a 12MP 5x Telephoto. Apple lists digital zoom up to 25x. The S25 Ultra has a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP ultra-wide and two telephoto modules rated at 50MP and 10MP; Samsung lists 3x and 5x optical zoom and additional optical-quality zoom modes.

#1 Best Overall
Apple iPhone 16 Pro, 128GB, Black Titanium - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • Titanium frame combines strength and lightness, giving the iPhone 16 Pro a premium feel while reducing weight for prolonged daily use. The polished edges and textured back enhance grip and handling, making it easier to use during long calls, gaming sessions, or when capturing photos and videos on the move.

These are hardware descriptions, not a verdict on photo or video quality. Megapixel counts alone cannot establish detail, color, low-light results, motion handling or consistency. The cited material does not provide a controlled comparison of camera output, so choose based on the focal lengths and camera workflow you expect to use rather than treating the larger number as proof of a better camera.

Which processor, storage and software support should you weigh?

Apple specifies the A18 Pro in the iPhone 16 Pro; Samsung specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in the S25 Ultra. A processor name alone is not enough to establish which phone performs better for your apps, games or sustained workloads. The cited sources do not provide comparative benchmark results.

Storage tiers also differ at the entry point. Apple lists 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB for the iPhone 16 Pro; Samsung’s U.S. sheet lists 256GB, 512GB and 1TB for the S25 Ultra. If you compare prices, match the capacity rather than assuming the lowest listed configurations are equivalent.

Samsung stated seven years of OS and security updates for the S25 series at launch. That is Samsung’s stated support policy; it is not a comparison of the phones’ current software versions or a guarantee about the timing of individual updates. The cited Apple specification page does not state a comparable support period.

What is the price difference?

A like-for-like current U.S. price difference is not established by the cited sources. Samsung’s U.S. comparison page displayed a starting price of $1,299.99 before trade-in when accessed on October 7, 2026. That is a dated manufacturer-page price display, not a guaranteed current street price. Apple’s technical specification page is not a live price list, and the available sources do not establish a matching current iPhone 16 Pro offer.

For a useful comparison, check the same country and currency, storage capacity, condition (new, refurbished or used), and whether the phone is unlocked or carrier-locked. Include tax, financing, trade-in credit, activation fees and any required service plan in the terms. A monthly payment or trade-in-adjusted offer should not be compared directly with a full retail price. Carrier and retailer offers can change, so verify their live terms before relying on a quoted difference; AT&T’s comparison page is one example of a carrier listing, not a fixed market price: AT&T device comparison.

Which one fits your priorities?

  • Consider the Galaxy S25 Ultra if you want a larger QHD+ screen, an integrated S Pen, or the listed combination of wide, ultra-wide and two telephoto camera modules.
  • Consider the iPhone 16 Pro if you prefer a smaller, lighter device, use Apple’s iOS ecosystem, or want its listed 48MP Fusion, 48MP Ultra Wide and 5x Telephoto configuration.
  • Compare live prices before deciding on value. The available price evidence does not provide a current matched pair, and storage, condition, trade-in and plan terms can change the result.

These are specification-based decision cues. The cited sources do not establish a universal winner for camera quality, performance, battery life or value.
