The iPhone 15 and vivo S2 5G suit different priorities: the iPhone offers Apple’s A16 Bionic platform and a smaller 6.1-inch display, while comparison listings describe the vivo as having a larger 6.83-inch, 120Hz screen. In India, comparison listings put the vivo near ₹39,999, but iPhone 15 prices vary by seller and listing. Treat the vivo specifications as secondary-source claims, and check the exact model, storage and live price before buying.
iPhone 15 vs vivo S2 5G: key specifications
The table separates manufacturer-confirmed iPhone information from comparison-site specifications for the vivo. Apple’s India page identifies the iPhone 15’s chip and camera/video features; the detailed vivo figures below have not been confirmed against an official vivo product specification sheet.

What is the price difference in India?
There is no single synchronized, stock-checked price comparison in the available listings. Smartprix shows ₹59,900 for the iPhone 15 and ₹39,999 for the vivo S2 5G, with its comparison details updated September 12, 2026. A 91mobiles search excerpt also shows ₹59,900 and ₹39,999 respectively. Gadgets 360 reports the iPhone 15 starting at ₹67,999 as of October 7, 2026, while MySmartPrice shows an iPhone amount with an out-of-stock label and a vivo listing near ₹39,990.

These are listing snapshots, not guaranteed checkout prices or official launch prices. Check the same storage capacity, seller, condition, stock status and final checkout total for both phones before comparing cost. The vivo is listed around ₹39,999 across the cited comparison pages, but the iPhone figures vary enough that a fixed savings figure would be misleading. How the displays differ
iPhone 15: smaller screen
The comparison listing describes the iPhone 15 as a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Its smaller listed size may appeal if you prefer a less expansive screen, but display preference is personal.
Rank #2
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
vivo S2 5G: larger, higher-refresh-rate listing
Comparison listings describe the vivo S2 5G as a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That is the more appealing specification on paper for someone who prioritizes screen area and a higher listed refresh rate. Because these vivo details are not confirmed by an official product sheet here, verify them for the exact regional model before purchasing.

Apple identifies the iPhone 15’s A16 Bionic chip as having a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine on its India comparison page. Comparison listings name the vivo processor as the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo. These names and specifications do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use: no controlled head-to-head performance test is available here.
Rank #3
- 6.1inch Super Retina XDR display. Aluminum with color-infused glass back. Ring/Silent switch
- Dynamic Island. A magical way to interact with iPhone. A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU
- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range
- Emergency SOS via satellite. Crash Detection. Roadside Assistance via satellite
- Up to 26 hours video playback. USB C, Supports USB 2. Face ID
The choice also means choosing between iOS and the vivo phone’s software experience. Consider the operating system you already use, compatibility with your apps and devices, and the local warranty and service arrangements. The available information does not establish equivalent long-term software support for both models.
Camera specifications are not a quality test
Comparison listings give the iPhone 15 a 48MP main and 12MP ultra-wide rear camera, plus a 12MP front camera. Apple’s product page describes camera and video features, including the TrueDepth camera system. For the vivo S2 5G, listings name a 50MP main and 2MP depth rear setup and a 32MP front camera.
Rank #4
- 6.1inch Super Retina XDR display. Aluminum with color-infused glass back. Ring/Silent switch
- Dynamic Island. A magical way to interact with iPhone. A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU
- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range
- Emergency SOS via satellite. Crash Detection. Roadside Assistance via satellite
- Up to 26 hours video playback. USB C, Supports USB 2. Face ID
Megapixel counts alone cannot show which phone takes better photos or video. The available sources do not provide a controlled camera comparison, so choose based on verified features that matter to you rather than assuming the higher front-camera count means better results.
Battery capacity does not establish battery life
Comparison listings state 3,349mAh for the iPhone 15 and 7,050mAh for the vivo S2 5G; a user post also gives the vivo capacity. These figures are not a matched battery-life test, and capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts under your pattern of use. Apple publishes a video-playback claim for the iPhone 15, but that manufacturer metric is not a promise of individual runtime. No side-by-side battery test is established here.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the iPhone 15 if
- You want Apple’s iOS ecosystem and the A16 Bionic platform identified by Apple.
- You prefer the smaller, 6.1-inch display listed for this model.
- Apple’s documented camera and video features are a priority, and the exact India price and stock work for your budget.
Consider the vivo S2 5G if
- You prioritize the larger 6.83-inch display and 120Hz refresh rate reported by comparison listings.
- The listed price near ₹39,999 fits your budget, after confirming the exact variant, seller and checkout total.
- You have verified the regional model’s specifications, warranty and service coverage with the seller.
Neither set of listed specifications proves a universal winner. Before paying, confirm that the phone is the intended regional model, that the 128GB configuration matches the price you are comparing, and that the seller provides suitable warranty and service support. vivo’s official security page lists the model name “S2, S2 5G,” but that is not a hardware specification sheet: vivo security page.
