That makes the iPhone listing ₹17,901 higher, but the prices do not establish a matched storage comparison or guarantee current stock and offers. Price difference in India
The available prices are a snapshot, not a like-for-like quote. Xiaomi India listed the REDMI Turbo 5 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage at ₹41,999, against a displayed marketing price of ₹54,999. Smartprix showed ₹59,900 as the lowest price found for iPhone 15, but the captured result did not establish its storage variant. The arithmetic gap is ₹17,901, with the iPhone listing higher. Xiaomi India store and Smartprix’s iPhone 15 comparison page are the sources for those respective price listings. Apple’s September 2023 announcement gave a U.S. launch starting price of $799, subject to carrier activation and financing terms; that is historical U.S. launch context, not a current India price. Apple’s launch announcement describes those terms.

How the specifications compare
| Specification | Apple iPhone 15 | Xiaomi REDMI Turbo 5 (India listing) |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR; 2556 × 1179 pixels at 460 ppi; Dynamic Island | 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED; 120 Hz; peak brightness listed up to 3,500 nits |
| Chip | Apple A16 Bionic | MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra |
| Rear cameras | 48 MP main, 12 MP ultra-wide and a 12 MP 2x telephoto option enabled by the quad-pixel sensor | 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS and an 8 MP ultra-wide |
| Battery and charging | Apple’s cited specifications do not give a battery capacity figure | 7,540 mAh; 100 W charging. Xiaomi says charging can reach up to 51% in approximately 30 minutes |
| Size and weight | 147.6 × 71.6 × 7.80 mm; 171 g | Dimensions and weight are not stated in the cited Xiaomi passages |
| Water and dust resistance | IP68 under IEC 60529; tested up to 6 m for up to 30 minutes | Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K |
| Software support | A current support-duration commitment was not established in the cited sources | Xiaomi states four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates |
| In-box items | The cited Apple launch announcement does not establish current box contents | 100 W adapter, USB-C cable, protective case, pre-applied screen protector, SIM tool and user manual |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independent head-to-head tests. Xiaomi’s claimed 51% charge in approximately 30 minutes is a company figure, not an independently verified result. Apple cautions that water resistance can diminish over time and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Different IP ratings refer to different test conditions, so their labels alone do not show that the phones offer equivalent protection.

Choose around screen size and refresh rate
The iPhone 15 has the smaller listed display at 6.1 inches; the REDMI Turbo 5’s is 6.59 inches and supports a listed 120 Hz refresh rate. That makes the Xiaomi the specification-led option if a larger, high-refresh-rate display matters. The figures alone do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

Compare battery capacity and charging without guessing at runtime
Xiaomi lists a 7,540 mAh battery and 100 W charging for the REDMI Turbo 5. Those figures establish its stated capacity and charging specification, but not how long it will last for a particular person or workload. The cited Apple specifications do not state the iPhone 15’s battery capacity, so these sources cannot establish a measured battery-life winner.

The iPhone 15 combines a 48 MP main camera with a 12 MP ultra-wide and a 2x telephoto option. Xiaomi lists a 50 MP main camera with OIS and an 8 MP ultra-wide. A higher megapixel count does not by itself prove better photos, and there is no independent camera comparison here to declare a quality winner.

Factor in software and included accessories
The phones belong to different software ecosystems: iPhone 15 runs Apple’s iOS platform, while Xiaomi states a four-year Android OS upgrade and six-year security-update commitment for the REDMI Turbo 5. The cited sources do not establish a comparable current iPhone 15 support-duration promise.
Xiaomi lists a charger, cable, case and pre-applied screen protector in the Turbo 5 package. Confirm box contents for your exact market and seller; the India listing does not establish what is included in every region. The cited Apple launch announcement does not settle current iPhone 15 in-box contents.

What to check before you buy
- Match the RAM and storage variants, especially because the observed price listings do not establish equivalent storage.
- Verify seller, stock, warranty coverage and any discounts at checkout.
- Confirm regional configuration, network-band compatibility and included accessories for the market where you will use the phone.
- Choose based on the operating system and the features you value; advertised specifications alone cannot settle speed, camera quality or battery life.
