Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Laowang Forum (老王论坛), commonly associated with laowang.vip, is a primarily Chinese-language, user-generated forum built around adult-oriented discussion, resource sharing, requests, paid posts and member rewards. It is not a licensed streaming service, official archive or verified software store. Public pages can look active while individual links, files and sellers remain unverified.
That distinction matters: the forum’s rules describe points, VIP access and an internal currency, but neither membership nor payment proves that a download is lawful, safe, authentic or refundable. Availability, categories and rules may change, and the site has warned that its address can change.

What Laowang Forum is—and is not
The name 老王论坛 means “Laowang Forum.” The site appears to operate as a conventional Discuz-based community rather than as an editorial publication or mainstream marketplace. A third-party technology profile identifies Discuz! 3.4, along with PHP, JavaScript and jQuery.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteIts identity is built around threads, replies, user profiles, reputation, requests and access permissions. The forum’s own description presents resource sharing, discussion, sales and requests as core activities. That does not make it an authorized distributor of the material posted by members.

What users may find there
Publicly indexed pages show a mixed set of categories. They include:
- Adult-content discussion and sharing.
- Resource requests, including posts offering an internal bounty.
- Games and other downloadable files.
- Literature, educational and reference materials.
- Images, videos and source-identification discussions.
- Complaints about broken links, scams, duplicate posts and rule violations.
- Announcements, help pages, VIP assistance and account disputes.
A search snapshot showed more than two million indexed items and activity during 2026, but those numbers are dynamic and should not be treated as a permanent audience or quality measure. See the live search page at laowang.vip’s search.
How the forum is organized
The structure is familiar to users of Chinese forums:
Recommended Free Tools
- Category and home pages lead to individual threads.
- Threads contain original posts, replies and sometimes restricted answers.
- User profiles display levels, reputation and other statistics.
- Rules, help-center pages and complaint areas handle moderation and account questions.
- Some posts require registration, a particular level or VIP status.
- Paid posts and reward-based requests place access or answers behind an internal transaction.
Interface labels and categories can change, so an old screenshot or translated label should not be assumed to describe the current site.
Registration, points, VIP and internal currency
The forum’s rules describe free registration alongside account levels, points, VIP status and paid participation. These terms are different from one another:
| Term | Meaning on the forum | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Registration | A basic account used to log in and access functions that may be restricted to members. | That files are legal, safe or available in your location. |
| Points or member score | A progression measure tied to activity and other forum statistics. | Seller verification or content quality. |
| 软妹币 | An internal forum credit used in at least some paid posts and request systems. | Chinese national currency, regulated money or consumer-protected payment. |
| VIP | A paid or otherwise elevated status with broader access and request privileges under the published rules. | Ownership rights, lawful redistribution, secure payment or a refund guarantee. |
The rules and indexed pages say some functions require login or registration. Availability may vary by location and network policy; this is not an invitation to bypass a block or use leaked credentials.
How the published points formula works
The help center at laowang.vip’s FAQ publishes a formula described as:
Member points = threads + posts × 0.1 + shares × 0.1 + online hours × 0.15 + featured posts × 10 + reputation × 2 + soft-sister currency × 0.33 + 政绩 × 3 + dollars × 3.3.
This is a published snapshot, not a guaranteed current calculation. The help pages and older guides were published at different times and may not be synchronized.
Ranks and VIP categories
An older level guide lists ranks from “平民” through “正一品,” with increasing reading permissions, and separately lists one-year and permanent VIP categories. Because that guide is historical, its thresholds should not be used as current pricing or access information. The guide is at laowang.vip’s level page. No reliable current VIP price is established here.

How resource requests and paid posts work
The general workflow described by the forum is:
- A member publishes a request for a resource.
- The post may attach a bounty in the internal currency.
- Other members submit links or answers.
- The requester may select an accepted answer.
- If a request remains unresolved, the rules describe possible limits or moderator intervention after a delay.
Ordinary-user request rules are described at this request page. They state that a bounty can become nonrefundable after publication and that some answers may be hidden from other users. A separate page, the VIP request rules, describes a higher-bounty area for VIP members.

Posting rules and moderation
The detailed manual at laowang.vip’s rules page tells members to:
- Search before posting to reduce duplicates.
- Use descriptive titles and identify file quantity or size where relevant.
- State the download method and provide accurate descriptions or previews.
- Identify passwords and extraction details clearly.
- Avoid prohibited material, advertisements and competing-site links.
- Report broken links, duplicate posts, scams and serious violations.
The rules also say posts may be reviewed before publication and rejected or deleted. They explicitly prohibit material involving minors and other illegal content. A written rule is a policy, not proof that every upload is detected or removed.
Safety, privacy and legal risks
Untrusted downloads
Indexed posts include archives, cloud-storage links, game files and extraction instructions. One example warns that files were not fully tested and could have missing components, crashes or compatibility problems; see the reported download discussion. Other pages show expired links, complaints and reposted material.

- Keep antivirus and operating-system protections enabled.
- Scan archives before extraction and extracted files before opening them.
- Do not install unexplained cracks, key generators, codecs, download managers or browser extensions.
- A disposable virtual machine can reduce exposure only when it is properly isolated; it is not a guarantee of safety.
Phishing and changing domains
Because indexed pages warn that the address may change and promote address-distribution methods, fake domains and malicious “new address” messages are a persistent risk. Independently confirm the exact spelling of any domain, and never send passwords, identity documents or payment details in response to an unsolicited message. Do not install a certificate, extension or mobile application merely because a message requests it.
Privacy and payment
Forum activity can expose an email address, IP address, browsing history, payment information and records of downloaded material. Use a unique password and separate email alias, do not upload identity documents, and assume posts, messages and activity may be retained or logged. VIP status does not mean anonymous use, secure payment or a refund.
Adult and non-consensual material
Adult-oriented communities create heightened risks involving non-consensual intimate imagery, coercion, impersonation and age ambiguity. Do not download, save, request or redistribute material when consent or age is uncertain. Report suspected exploitation through appropriate legal or platform channels, and leave rather than trying to investigate it yourself.
Copyright and legality
There is no blanket legal answer. The relevant questions include whether the uploader owns redistribution rights, whether identifiable adults consented to distribution, whether anyone is underage or appears underage, what activity you are undertaking, and which country, state or region’s law applies. Uploading, selling, downloading and merely discussing material can carry different consequences. For a specific United States legal question, consult a qualified attorney.

Broken links and canceled files
A live thread can remain indexed after a cloud link expires, is canceled or is removed. A claimed file size, screenshot or filename does not establish authenticity.
Archive and password problems
Users report missing parts, incorrect extraction passwords and device-specific failures. Repeatedly downloading the same archive does not make an unknown file trustworthy.
Paid-post disputes
The forum describes bounties and internal payments, but the available material does not establish a neutral escrow system, universal refund policy or verified sellers.
Outdated rules
The manual, FAQ, level guide and individual posts were published at different times. Older formulas, ranks and limits may no longer match the live system.

Who should avoid Laowang Forum?
- Minors or anyone who may be exposed to age-restricted material.
- Readers who need licensed, verified media or software.
- People unable to inspect files safely in an isolated environment.
- Anyone requiring strong privacy guarantees or regulated payment protection.
- Users in a jurisdiction where the relevant material or activity may be unlawful.
- Anyone uncomfortable with adult-content or legally ambiguous communities.
Should you use it?
For many readers, not using the forum is the sensible choice. Reading only public information is lower risk than registering or downloading, but previews, links and tracking can still expose you to unwanted content or phishing.
An adult who nevertheless chooses lawful, cautious participation should independently confirm the domain, use a unique password and separate email, avoid personal uploads, treat every link and file as untrusted, keep security software enabled, and refuse material with uncertain consent, age or copyright status. That is risk reduction, not an endorsement.
Bottom line: Laowang Forum is best understood as a high-risk, user-generated Chinese resource forum with an internal economy and substantial adult-content exposure. Its active-looking pages and membership system do not make it a verified, safe, legal or consumer-protected source of downloads.
