The Fujifilm Instax Mini 13 has features that make keepsake selfies at parties easier to set up: a 2-second timer for close-up shots, a 10-second timer for getting a group into the frame, and an included angle-adjustment accessory for hands-free positioning. It uses instax mini film, sold separately. Those specifications make it a plausible party camera, but they do not establish how well it handles dim venues or whether a particular concert allows it.
Why the Mini 13 suits group keepsake selfies
Fujifilm’s Mini 13 announcement describes two self-timer settings: 2 seconds and 10 seconds. The shorter delay pairs naturally with Close-Up Mode for a selfie; the longer one gives a group time to gather in front of the camera. Fujifilm also includes a wedge-shaped angle-adjustment accessory intended to help position the camera for hands-free selfies. These are setup conveniences, not a guarantee that every person will fit or that every shot will come out as intended.

The camera also has a selfie mirror, automatic exposure adjustment, and parallax correction in Close-Up Mode, according to Fujifilm. The mirror helps with framing, while the camera’s Close-Up Mode is designed for nearer subjects. The available product information describes these features but does not establish image quality in specific party or concert lighting.
How close to stand, and what size are the prints?
Fujifilm lists a normal shooting range of 0.3 m and beyond, and a Close-Up Mode range of 0.3–0.5 m. That makes the close-up setting relevant when the camera is near a face; for a group, leave enough space to include everyone and use the 10-second timer. The Mini 13 produces instax mini pictures with an image size of 62 × 46 mm.

Fujifilm states that film development takes approximately 90 seconds, with the time varying according to ambient temperature. That is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not a promise of identical timing in every environment.
What you need before taking it out
- Film: The camera uses Fujifilm instax mini instant film, which is sold separately. The package contents and film quantity should be checked with the retailer before buying.
- Batteries: It takes two AA-size alkaline batteries. Fujifilm also permits two AA nickel-metal-hydride batteries and says not to mix battery types.
- Weight: Fujifilm lists 327 g without batteries, loaded film, or the attached strap. The camera will weigh more when ready to shoot.
Concerts need two checks the specifications can’t answer
Lighting
The product specifications and announcement do not establish how the Mini 13 performs in dark venues, how its flash behaves in a particular room, or whether a shot will be usable under concert lighting. Automatic exposure adjustment is a listed feature, but it should not be treated as evidence of reliable results in low light.

Venue rules
Check the venue’s camera policy before bringing an instant camera. Rules can differ by venue or event, and the camera’s size or format does not determine whether it will be permitted.

What Fujifilm announced about price and availability
In its March 16, 2026 US announcement, Fujifilm North America listed a US MSRP of $93.95 for the Mini 13 and said availability was expected in or around late June 2026. The same announcement listed a $17.99 US MSRP for the Pastel Galaxy film variety. These are announced manufacturer prices and expected timing, not confirmation of current retail prices, stock, or what film is included with a camera purchase.
