The Inkbird IAM-T1 is a Bluetooth-connected monitor for carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature, humidity and air pressure. It is designed for checking ventilation-related CO2 levels nearby—not for measuring fine particles such as PM2.5 or giving Wi-Fi access from outside Bluetooth range.
What does the Inkbird IAM-T1 measure?
The IAM-T1 is a 4-in-1 monitor. It measures:
- CO2: Uses a Swedish Senseair non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor. Inkbird specifies accuracy of ±(30 ppm + 3% of the reading).
- Temperature
- Relative humidity
- Air pressure
CO2 is useful as a ventilation indicator, but it is not a complete measure of indoor air quality. The IAM-T1 does not measure PM2.5, PM10, TVOC, formaldehyde (HCHO) or AQI. How does it connect and display readings?
The monitor connects to the INKBIRD app using Bluetooth 5.0, not Wi-Fi. Inkbird lists a maximum unobstructed Bluetooth distance of 328 feet (100 meters); walls and other obstructions can reduce practical range, so treat this as a best-case specification rather than a guaranteed indoor distance.

How long do the batteries last?
The IAM-T1 runs on two AA batteries. Inkbird rates battery life at up to 18 months when the sampling interval is set to 10 minutes. That is a maximum manufacturer estimate for that interval, not a guarantee for every setting or usage pattern. The package includes two AA batteries, a user manual and a quick-start guide. IAM-T1 vs. IAQM-129-W: which Inkbird monitor fits?
The IAQM-129-W is the more comprehensive option when you need particle and gas readings or remote monitoring. The IAM-T1 is narrower in scope, with replaceable AA batteries and an e-ink display. Their specifications differ as follows:

- Choose the IAM-T1 if your priority is checking CO2 alongside temperature, humidity and pressure, and you want a compact e-ink display, Bluetooth app connection and replaceable AA batteries.
- Choose the IAQM-129-W if you specifically need PM2.5 or PM10 readings, TVOC or HCHO measurements, AQI, Wi-Fi remote monitoring, or a longer app-history window.
These models answer different questions: the IAM-T1 focuses on CO2-led ventilation checks, while the IAQM-129-W adds pollutant categories and network access. Neither model’s listed measurements should be treated as a substitute for a dedicated detector for hazards it does not measure.
