Ink Parry: Seonbi Swordsman is a mobile action game built around one precise idea: read an incoming attack, then use the right gesture as it reaches the ink circle around your swordsman. A reported perfect parry window of ±60 milliseconds gives the timing its edge, but not every threat should be parried the same way.
How the parry system works
You control a Joseon-era scholar swordsman surrounded by an ink circle. Attacks arrive from different directions and converge on the circle. For a standard attack, swipe toward the direction it came from as it reaches the circle. A precisely timed response earns a red “Perfect” seal and extends your consecutive-success count. Game Chosun reported a perfect timing window of ±60 milliseconds; the report does not specify whether that figure varies by device or other conditions.

The key is to read both the attack and its direction. The game is not simply asking you to swipe at every threat: several attacks call for a different response, and reacting with the ordinary parry gesture can be the wrong move.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesMatch the response to the attack
- Normal arrows: Swipe toward the arrow’s origin to cut it.
- Fire arrows: Do not swipe; let the arrow pass.
- Maces: Counter, then maintain contact rather than immediately releasing.
- Nets: Tap to tear them.
- Twin axes: Make two successive defensive responses.
- Low blades and chains: Crouch under blades and jump over chains, according to the report.
- Shuriken: A blocked shuriken can ricochet toward another side, so the deflection may create a follow-up threat.
These differences make recognition as important as timing: notice where a threat is coming from, identify what it is, and choose its specific counter.

Customization and presentation
Game Chosun reported customization for the hat, robe, sword, sword effects, and judgment seals, along with collectible achievement titles. The game’s visual identity draws on ink imagery and hanji-paper texture. Developer account rhslvkf says these effects are drawn in code at runtime, and that the gayageum music and sound effects are synthesized in the game rather than loaded as image or audio files. That is the developer’s description of the implementation, not an independently verified technical inspection.

Accessibility considerations
The available accessibility information is limited. In a Reddit reply, developer account rhslvkf said: “The game leans heavily on seeing where attacks come from, so the hard part would be giving every attack its own direction and sound cue.” The developer added that audio cues had been noted for possible future updates, without promising when or whether they would be added. The available sources do not establish that directional audio cues or other accessibility features have been implemented, nor do they provide a formal accessibility audit.

What was announced for version 1.1
In its October 10, 2026 report, Game Chosun said a version 1.1 update called “결전” (“Decisive Battle”) was planned for later that month. The announcement described a final boss at the end of Journey, two additional swordsmen with different weapons and techniques, tiered challenges after completing the game, and new boss fights. That was a dated plan, not confirmation that the update shipped; check current release notes or the store listing for its status.
