To earn the bonus, you need $6,000 in eligible purchases during the three months after account opening. That averages $2,000 a month, but the deadline is measured from the account-opening date, not by calendar months. Use ordinary, planned business expenses to estimate whether you can reach it without buying things earlier than needed or spending more than your budget allows.

Not all transactions count. Chase excludes balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like transactions such as cryptocurrency, betting transactions, person-to-person transfers, account funding, checks that access the account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees. Returns and refunds can also reduce purchase totals. The account must be open and not in default when the bonus is fulfilled. How do the everyday rewards work?
The card earns unlimited 1.5% cash-back rewards on business purchases. Chase tracks rewards as points: 100 points equal $1 in cash-back rewards. Under the current rewards agreement, cash, gift-card, and travel redemptions value each point at one cent; other redemption options may be worth more or less. Rewards are earned on purchases minus returns or refunds, and the agreement excludes various cash-like transactions. Redemption choices and terms may change, so consult the agreement for the options available to your account. The straightforward flat rate is useful when spending is spread across many types of business expenses and you do not want to track categories.
What other benefits and costs matter?
Introductory purchase APR
Chase’s product page lists a 0% introductory APR on purchases for 12 months, followed by a variable APR of 16.99%–24.99%. The post-intro rate makes this a poor reason to carry a balance long term: interest can outweigh rewards. Time-limited partner benefits
As listed by Chase when its product page was checked in 2026, the card offers 5% total cash back on Lyft rides through September 30, 2027. It also lists a complimentary three-month Instacart+ membership that auto-renews at $99 per year after the trial, plus a $20 monthly Instacart credit for enrolled members; Chase says these benefits end December 31, 2027. Who is the Ink Business Unlimited best suited to?
- Consider it if you want one simple earning rate, have no annual-fee card cost, and can reach the welcome-offer threshold with ordinary business spending.
- Compare category cards if a large share of your expenses falls into categories where another card earns more and its fee or conditions still make sense.
- Skip the bonus chase if qualifying would require purchases you would not otherwise make, or if you are uncertain about eligibility based on prior Chase business-card ownership.
- Be cautious about financing if you expect to carry a balance beyond the introductory period; the variable APR can erase the value of rewards.
