Specifications are from Infinix Mobiles India’s Hot 70 Pro product page and Cinco Días’ 6 August 2026 report on the Redmi 17 5G China launch. Infinix’s page gives conflicting front-camera information: its detailed table says 8 MP, while an FAQ answer says 13 MP. The table figure is used above; check the exact regional product listing if the selfie camera is a deciding factor.
What the display and battery figures mean
Display: sharper image or larger panel
The Hot 70 Pro lists a 1080 × 2344 resolution and refresh rates up to 144 Hz. The Redmi 17 5G’s reported 1600 × 720 panel is larger at 6.9 inches, but has a lower resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. On paper, that favors the Infinix for pixel detail and maximum refresh rate, while the Redmi offers more screen area. A maximum refresh-rate figure does not establish how often the phone uses that rate in everyday apps.

Battery: capacity is not runtime
The Redmi’s reported 6300 mAh capacity exceeds the Infinix’s listed 6000 mAh. The Hot 70 Pro has the higher listed charging rate—45 W versus 15 W wired for the Redmi—but neither figure alone establishes actual charging time or how long a charge lasts. Those outcomes depend on factors such as software, screen settings, network conditions, and use; comparable independent battery tests are not established here.
Which phone has better performance or cameras?
The two phones use different processors: the Hot 70 Pro lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G, and the Redmi report names a Unisoc T8300. Chipset names alone are not enough to determine which phone is faster in games or daily use. No comparable independent benchmark or hands-on test is established here, so a performance winner cannot be supported from these specifications alone.

Price difference: India and China prices are not directly comparable
Infinix Hot 70 Pro price in India
Infinix’s India product page displayed ₹27,999 for the selected 8 GB/128 GB option when accessed on 7 October 2026. The page also included different promotional or banner pricing, so ₹27,999 is a dated listing snapshot, not a guaranteed current price or a market-wide figure. Check the live page and seller terms before buying.
Redmi 17 5G launch prices in China
Cinco Días reported Chinese launch prices of 999 yuan for the 4 GB/128 GB configuration and 1,199 yuan for the 6 GB/128 GB configuration. The report does not establish an India launch, availability, or price; it also said a future global version could differ. These China prices should not be converted or subtracted from the Infinix India listing to claim an India price difference.

Which one should you choose?
- Lean toward the Hot 70 Pro if you prioritize the higher-resolution display, higher maximum refresh rate, faster stated charging, or an India-market configuration with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM.
- Consider the Redmi 17 5G if the larger screen or higher stated battery capacity matters more, or if its 3.5 mm headphone jack is useful to you. Its cited configurations and pricing are for China.
- Do not choose on processor or camera quality alone based on these figures. The available information does not provide comparable performance or photo tests.
- Confirm the exact local variant before purchase. Memory options, warranty, availability, and network compatibility can vary by market, and the Redmi report does not establish India availability.
