The screen and software are its clearest strengths, but the panel is LCD rather than AMOLED, the full 144Hz is not available everywhere, and reviewers noted preinstalled apps and recommendation folders. Here’s what that means in everyday use, alongside the India-listed specifications and the limits of the available review evidence.
What does the Infinix HOT 70 Pro review find?
The most compelling parts of the India-market HOT 70 Pro are its high-resolution, fast-refresh display and a smooth, customizable software experience. India Today’s reviewer found the interface smooth-feeling and the display adequate for streaming, while noting that the panel lacks the vibrancy of AMOLED. The review also describes fairly good performance, but says the cameras could be better. Notebookcheck’s roundup lists an 81% score for the 91mobiles review and summarizes strengths including the display, battery, design, and low-light photography; it also flags bloatware and the Active Matrix Cube. These are reviewer assessments, not results from a uniform independent test in the sources available here. Notebookcheck

How good is the display?
Sharpness and refresh rate
Infinix’s India product page lists a 6.76-inch LTPS LCD with FHD+ resolution of 1080 × 2344 and refresh-rate options of 45Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. The manufacturer lists typical brightness of 760 nits and HBM brightness of 910 nits. India Today describes the panel as Full HD IPS and clarifies an important practical limit: 144Hz applies to supported games, while regular use reaches up to 120Hz. So “144Hz” is a peak capability, not a refresh rate every app or game will use. Infinix Mobiles India India Today

India Today’s reviewer found outdoor brightness decent and the Full HD panel suitable for streaming, but noted that it does not match AMOLED’s vibrancy and that the display has a visible bottom chin. Buyers who prioritize vivid contrast should weigh that trade-off against the HOT 70 Pro’s high resolution and fast refresh capability. The review does not establish a measured brightness result under a standardized test, so the manufacturer’s brightness figures should be treated as listed specifications rather than independent measurements.

What is the software experience like?
XOS 16 and customization
The India listing identifies the software as XOS 16, powered by Android 16. India Today’s reviewer describes a smooth-feeling interface with extensive customization, including home-screen depth effects. Infinix’s stated update commitment, as reported by India Today, is three major Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches. That is the company’s promise, not a guarantee independently verified by the review.
Preinstalled apps and recommendations
The same review notes preinstalled third-party apps, including PhonePe and Spotify, games, and recommendation folders. India Today says the recommendation folders can be disabled. This adds some initial tidying for users who prefer a cleaner home screen, though the review does not establish that every preinstalled app can be removed.

India model specifications and regional differences
The following figures are from Infinix’s India product listing for model X6896. The company cautions that details may vary by market, so these should not be treated as universal HOT 70 Pro specifications.
| Specification | India listing |
|---|---|
| Display | 6.76-inch LTPS LCD; 1080 × 2344; refresh-rate options of 45Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz |
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G |
| Memory and storage | 6GB/128GB or 8GB/128GB |
| Rear camera | 50MP Sony IMX882 |
| Front camera | 8MP |
| Battery and charging | 6000mAh typical capacity; 45W charging |
| Durability | IP68 resistance |
| Listed price | ₹24,999 on the India product page when accessed in 2026; not a durable market-wide price |
Regional figures differ. Infinix’s July 16, 2026 announcement describes up to 950 nits HBM brightness and says battery capacity may be 6000mAh or 5600mAh depending on market. The India product page instead lists 910 nits HBM and a typical 6000mAh battery. For an India purchase, use the India listing rather than combining the numbers into a single global specification. Is the HOT 70 Pro worth considering?
It is most appealing if a sharp, fast-refresh LCD and a customizable Android interface matter more to you than AMOLED contrast or a camera-focused experience. The India listing also gives it a large typical battery and 45W charging, but the sources here do not provide comparable battery-life or charging-time measurements. Treat the ₹24,999 figure as the price shown on Infinix’s India page when accessed in 2026, not as a current offer across retailers. If you are comparing alternatives, check the exact regional model and configuration, how refresh rate works in the apps and games you use, update terms, and camera results from reviews that test the same variant.
