For an India-market comparison, the official Infinix listing identifies the phone as the Hot 60 5G+ (model X6726), not an unspecified Hot 60. Samsung’s listing is for the Galaxy M17 5G. Samsung specifies a sharper Super AMOLED screen and optical image stabilization on the main camera; Infinix specifies a higher maximum refresh rate and a slightly larger battery. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
Which phones are being compared?
This comparison uses the Infinix Hot 60 5G+ listed for India and the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G listed for India. The Infinix page shows a 6GB RAM/128GB storage configuration. Samsung’s launch announcement lists 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB versions. Specifications, prices, and availability should not be assumed to apply to other markets or Hot 60 variants.

Which display is better for your priorities?
The Galaxy M17’s listed display has the advantage in resolution and panel type: it is FHD+ Super AMOLED, while the Hot 60 5G+ is HD+ IPS LCD. That makes Samsung the spec-sheet choice for a higher-resolution image and an AMOLED panel. Infinix lists refresh rates up to 120Hz, compared with Samsung’s listed maximum of 90Hz. A higher maximum refresh-rate figure does not by itself prove that scrolling or games feel smoother in practice.
How do the cameras compare?
Samsung lists a triple rear-camera setup and optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50MP main camera. Infinix lists a 50MP rear camera and says OIS is not supported. OIS is a concrete hardware distinction, but the listed megapixel counts and camera count do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Samsung lists a 13MP front camera; Infinix lists an 8MP front camera. Resolution alone is not a measure of selfie quality.

Battery capacity and charging
Infinix lists a typical battery capacity of 5,200mAh, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh. Samsung lists 25W charging support; Infinix lists charging up to 18W and 10W reverse charging. These capacity and wattage figures do not establish real-world battery life or how long either phone takes to charge. No comparative endurance or charging test figure is established by the cited manufacturer pages.
Software and update commitments
Infinix lists XOS 15.1.1 powered by Android 15. Samsung’s phone launched with Android 15 and One UI 7. Samsung says the Galaxy M17 5G is planned to receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Samsung frames this as its current plan; it should not be read as confirmation that every update has already been released.

Price difference: compare the same variant and date
The available prices are not a like-for-like snapshot. Infinix’s India product page displayed ₹17,999 for the Hot 60 5G+ 6GB/128GB when observed in 2026; the page also showed a struck-through regular price of ₹24,999. This is a page-displayed price, not a guaranteed checkout price.
Samsung’s October 13, 2025 launch announcement listed the Galaxy M17 5G at ₹12,499 for 4GB/128GB, explicitly a net price including a special launch offer. It also listed ₹13,999 for 6GB/128GB and ₹15,499 for 8GB/128GB. These are historical launch prices, not verified current prices. Comparing Infinix’s displayed page price with Samsung’s promotional 2025 launch price would not establish today’s price difference.

- Choose by listed display features: the Galaxy M17 has the higher-resolution Super AMOLED panel; the Hot 60 5G+ lists the higher maximum refresh rate.
- Choose by listed camera hardware: Samsung lists OIS on the main rear camera and two additional rear cameras; Infinix lists a single 50MP rear camera without OIS.
- Choose by listed battery and charging figures: Infinix has the slightly greater typical capacity; Samsung supports the higher listed wired charging wattage. Neither specification settles battery life or charging speed in use.
- Choose by price only after checking current matched offers: the available figures are from different dates and price contexts, so they do not support a current winner on cost.
