The GT 50 Pro is expected to launch in India on 27 October, with a newer Dimensity 8400 Ultimate platform, a reported 6,500mAh battery and Android 16-based XOS 16, but its final price and India specification sheet are not yet confirmed.

Infinix India lists the GT 30 Pro at an MRP of ₹31,999 for the displayed 8GB RAM/256GB storage configuration. A 12GB/256GB version is also listed, although the product page does not state a separate price for that memory tier. Battery and charging: the clearest expected upgrade
The reported GT 50 Pro capacity is 1,000mAh higher than the GT 30 Pro’s cell, or about 18% more capacity. That is a capacity comparison, not a measured screen-on-time or gaming-endurance result: actual runtime will also depend on the newer chipset, display settings, network conditions and thermal controls.
Charging is not expected to become faster on paper. Both generations are associated with 45W wired and 30W wireless charging in the cited material. The GT 30 Pro additionally supports 10W reverse wired charging. Infinix’s global GT 50 Pro launch material confirms the 45W and 30W figures, but regional availability and the complete India specification still need confirmation.
Processor, gaming and thermal hardware
Dimensity 8400 Ultimate versus Dimensity 8350 Ultimate
The Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is a newer performance tier than the GT 30 Pro’s Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, so the GT 50 Pro should have a platform advantage for demanding games and longer software support. There is no like-for-like benchmark or sustained-gaming test covering both phones, so a precise percentage performance gain cannot be stated.
Infinix Product Director Weiqi Nie described the GT 30 Pro’s Dimensity 8350 Ultimate as delivering high-frame-rate gaming, thermal control and optimized power use. That is a product statement, not an independent test result.
Cooling claims
Android Central’s interview material says the GT 30 Pro uses a 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber and can be paired with an active MagCharge Cooler. Digit reports a Hydroflow Liquid Cooling System for the GT 50 Pro. These are different cooling designs described by manufacturer or launch reporting; they do not establish which phone stays cooler or faster in a controlled comparison.

Display, cameras and software
The GT 30 Pro already offers a high-refresh 1.5K AMOLED panel, so the GT 50 Pro’s reported 144Hz AMOLED-class display is not automatically a major specification jump. Brightness, touch sampling, panel resolution, protection glass and regional tuning for the newer model remain unconfirmed.
The GT 30 Pro has a documented dual rear-camera setup and a 13MP selfie camera. No final India camera specification has been published for the GT 50 Pro in the available launch reporting, making camera comparisons premature.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Software is a more straightforward generational change: the existing model ships with Android 15 through XOS 15, while the expected GT 50 Pro software is Android 16-based XOS 16. Infinix has not yet provided the India-specific update schedule in the cited material.
Should you buy the GT 30 Pro or wait?
Buy the GT 30 Pro if you need a phone now
- You want a published India price, storage configuration and warranty channel rather than a pre-launch estimate.
- You value physical gaming triggers, a 144Hz AMOLED display and wireless charging at its listed price point.
- You do not want to wait for the 27 October launch or risk changes to the GT 50 Pro’s India SKU.
Wait for the GT 50 Pro if capacity and platform age matter most
- You can wait until launch for the larger reported battery and newer Dimensity 8400 Ultimate.
- Android 16/XOS 16 and the reported Hydroflow cooling system are important to your buying decision.
- You are comfortable with a likely higher price and with checking the final RAM, storage, warranty and availability details after launch.
What to check on 27 October
- Confirm the official India price for each RAM and storage variant; “sub-₹40,000” is not a final retail figure.
- Verify the battery capacity, charging support, included charger and wireless-charging compatibility on the India specification sheet.
- Check the exact display resolution, brightness, protection glass and touch-sampling specifications.
- Review camera sensors, stabilization features, IP rating and the software-update policy.
- Compare launch offers against the GT 30 Pro’s listed MRP, including whether discounts apply to the same storage tier.
Bottom line
The GT 30 Pro is the safer purchase today because its India price and full specifications are published. The GT 50 Pro is the more interesting wait if its reported 6,500mAh battery, newer processor and Android 16 software matter more than immediate availability, but its value cannot be judged definitively until Infinix confirms the India price and complete retail specification on launch.
