Choose the GT 30 Pro if you value proven performance, a higher-resolution main camera and a lower documented launch price. Independent testing confirms that the GT 30 Pro can sustain smooth gaming, including 120fps PUBG Mobile, while comparable long-session testing and consistent regional pricing for the GT 50 Pro are not yet established. GT 50 Pro vs GT 30 Pro at a glance
The two phones target gamers, but they answer different buying priorities. Infinix announced the GT 30 Pro on May 21, 2025 as a relatively affordable gaming phone with a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, 108MP main camera, wireless and wired fast charging, and official 120fps certifications for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and PUBG Mobile. Infinix announced the GT 50 Pro on April 24, 2026 as a more ambitious gaming flagship focused on cooling and control.

Which phone is better for gaming?
GT 30 Pro has the better verified gaming story
For a buyer who wants evidence rather than a specification promise, the GT 30 Pro is the safer gaming choice. Android Central found that most games ran without problems, that extended sessions did not make the phone overheat or throttle easily, and that PUBG Mobile could run at 120fps. Infinix also announced official 120fps certifications for both PUBG Mobile and MLBB. Those certifications and the independent observations apply to the GT 30 Pro, not automatically to the GT 50 Pro.

The GT 30 Pro combines a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor with 3D VCC cooling, ultrasonic shoulder triggers and Bypass Charging 2.0. Its optional MagCharge Cooler and magnetic case add an external cooling route for demanding sessions. Bypass charging is particularly relevant when playing near a charger because the phone can draw power for the system while reducing the amount of charging heat sent into the battery; the exact behavior depends on the game mode and charger setup.
GT 50 Pro raises the specification ceiling
The GT 50 Pro is positioned as the more serious gaming model. Its listed Dimensity 8400, UFS 4.1 storage and 6,500mAh battery are newer or larger than the corresponding GT 30 Pro listings. Infinix’s launch message centers on cooling and control, suggesting that the company is trying to improve sustained play rather than merely increase peak benchmark scores.
However, no comparable independent long-session test is established for the GT 50 Pro in the available evidence. There is no verified temperature chart, throttling result, average frame-rate result or battery-drain comparison that would justify saying it actually runs games faster or cooler. Treat the GT 50 Pro’s advantage as specification-based until a review of your exact regional model measures it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWhat the chipset difference means in practice
The Dimensity 8400 listing gives the GT 50 Pro a newer platform designation, while the GT 30 Pro’s Dimensity 8350 Ultimate has already demonstrated smooth high-frame-rate gaming in review testing. The difference may matter in future games or in demanding graphics settings, but game optimization, thermal limits, firmware and screen resolution can erase or amplify a theoretical advantage. A higher model number is not a substitute for a sustained frame-rate test.
Infinix Product Director Weiqi Nie described the GT 30 Pro’s processor as delivering “smooth high-frame-rate gaming, effective thermal control, and optimized power usage.” He also described the GT 30 Pro’s system-level combination of chipset, cooling, Bypass Charging 2.0 and active-cooled wireless charging as a way to maintain frame rates without overheating or throttling while charging. Those are the design goals; the independent review evidence supports generally stable play, but it does not guarantee identical results in every game.
Display, touch response and physical controls
GT 30 Pro: a known 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED panel
The GT 30 Pro’s 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display is one of its clearest gaming advantages on paper. A 144Hz panel can present up to 144 refreshes per second when a game and system mode supply matching frames. It also gives scrolling and compatible games a smoother appearance than a 60Hz display. The 1.5K resolution provides more detail than a conventional full-HD panel, although rendering at a higher resolution can increase the workload on the chipset.

Refresh rate alone does not create 144fps gameplay. PUBG Mobile’s documented 120fps mode is the more concrete figure for this phone, and the game’s own support, graphics settings and thermal conditions determine whether that mode remains available during a session.

The available GT 50 Pro material establishes its gaming focus but does not provide a complete, region-specific display specification or touch-sampling figure. Check the exact product page or retail box for screen size, resolution, refresh-rate modes, touch response and brightness before ordering. Different memory, network or regional editions can carry different components, so do not infer that every GT 50 Pro has the same panel as the GT 30 Pro.
Triggers change how you play
The GT 30 Pro’s ultrasonic triggers give players two extra mapped inputs without covering as much of the screen with thumbs. They are useful for shooters, racing games and action titles where aiming, firing or steering benefits from separating controls. Their usefulness depends on the game supporting the mapping layer and on how consistently the sensor recognizes a press through a case or with damp fingers.
Infinix presents the GT 50 Pro as a control-focused gaming phone, but the available material does not establish the exact trigger technology, mapping limits or button placement for every market. If shoulder controls are a deciding factor, test or verify those details rather than assuming an identical implementation.
Battery life and charging
GT 50 Pro has the larger listed battery
91mobiles lists a 6,500mAh battery for the GT 50 Pro and 5,500mAh for the GT 30 Pro, a 1,000mAh difference. That gives the GT 50 Pro more theoretical headroom for long sessions, navigation, video and hotspot use. It can also add weight and thickness, and capacity does not reveal charging speed, efficiency or screen-on endurance.
The 6,500mAh figure is a database listing rather than an independently measured runtime result. Confirm the capacity on the regional specification page, especially if a carrier or retailer is selling a model imported from another market.

GT 30 Pro has documented all-day behavior and flexible charging
Android Central described the GT 30 Pro as providing about a day of battery life in everyday use. Infinix announced both wired and wireless fast charging, plus Bypass Charging 2.0 and active cooling for optimized wireless charging. Those features are valuable to gamers who play while connected because they can reduce heat compared with repeatedly charging a hot battery during a match.
The review’s “day of battery life” is a practical observation, not a universal endurance rating. Brightness, mobile-network signal, refresh-rate mode, camera use and game time can move that result substantially. The GT 50 Pro may last longer because of its listed capacity, but no comparable real-world test is established here.
What to check before buying
- Confirm whether the charger is included in your region and whether its rated speed matches the phone.
- Check whether wireless charging and bypass charging are enabled on the exact model, not just on the family announcement.
- Look for an official battery-health or charge-limit mode if you plan to keep the phone plugged in during daily gaming.
- Budget for an external cooler only if you play long, demanding sessions; it adds cost, bulk and a separate charging or mounting requirement.
Everyday use: cameras, software and durability
GT 30 Pro is the safer camera choice by hardware specification
The GT 30 Pro uses a 108MP main camera, while 91mobiles lists a 50MP main camera for the GT 50 Pro. The higher megapixel count can preserve more crop flexibility in good light, but it does not guarantee better photos. Sensor size, stabilization, lens quality, processing and night-mode tuning matter at least as much.
Android Central found the GT 30 Pro’s daylight camera output good for a phone in its class. The available GT 50 Pro evidence does not include an independent camera assessment, so buyers who prioritize photography should wait for or consult testing of the exact regional version rather than choosing by megapixels alone.
Software support favors caution with the GT 30 Pro
The GT 30 Pro review described daily operation as smooth but noted bugs and only two software updates. That combination matters: a phone can feel fast at launch while still receiving a shorter period of major Android and security support. The available GT 50 Pro material does not state its update commitment, so its newer release date should not be mistaken for a guaranteed longer support window.
Ask the seller or Infinix support for the number of Android-version upgrades, security-update duration and update schedule in your country. Also verify that the firmware is intended for your market; imported devices can have different network bands, warranty terms and update channels.

Ingress protection and handling
Android Central records IP64 protection for the GT 30 Pro. That rating indicates protection against dust ingress and water splashes under the specified test conditions; it is not an invitation to submerge the phone or use it in heavy rain without care. A regional GT 50 Pro rating is not established in the available material. Check its official certification before treating it as equally resistant.

Gaming phones often include aggressive styling, shoulder controls and cooling hardware that can make them less pocket-friendly than conventional models. Consider case compatibility, trigger access, camera bump clearance and whether a magnetic cooler blocks wireless charging before choosing an accessory.

GT 30 Pro has a documented India launch-price advantage
Android Central recorded the GT 30 Pro in India at ₹24,999 for 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and ₹26,999 for 12GB RAM with 256GB storage in 2025. These are documented India prices at that time, not a current global price or a guarantee of today’s street price. Promotions, taxes, seller warranty and remaining stock can change the amount.
No consistent current price for the GT 50 Pro is established here. Compare like-for-like RAM and storage, then add the cost of a charger, case, cooler and extended warranty. A cheaper base GT 50 Pro with less memory may not be better value than a discounted 12GB GT 30 Pro for multitasking and games.
Storage speed is a secondary value factor
91mobiles lists UFS 4.1 for the GT 50 Pro and UFS 4.0 for the GT 30 Pro. Newer flash storage can improve app installation, loading and file transfers, but game performance still depends primarily on the processor, thermals, memory management and software optimization. Do not pay a large premium solely for the UFS label if your games already load quickly on the GT 30 Pro.
Warranty and accessories can change the calculation
- Confirm that the seller provides an official local warranty rather than a shop-only or import warranty.
- Check whether the retail package includes a fast charger, protective case and any gaming accessories.
- The GT 30 Pro’s MagCharge Cooler and magnetic case are optional accessories; availability and program status vary by market.
- Infinix has described a broader GT Verse ecosystem, including GT Buds 4, a 55W GT Power Bank and cooling products. Their availability should be verified locally and should not be assumed from the phone announcement.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose the GT 50 Pro when these priorities matter most
- You want the largest listed battery and are willing to accept that real-world endurance has not been independently compared.
- You prefer the newer listed Dimensity 8400 platform and UFS 4.1 storage for a longer ownership horizon.
- Your main goal is a gaming-first design with the newest cooling and control positioning from Infinix.
- You can verify the regional model’s display, trigger implementation, charging features, software support and warranty before paying.
This is a specification-led recommendation. It becomes a measured recommendation only after independent testing confirms sustained frame rates, temperatures, battery drain and camera quality.
Best Value
- 【Complete Protection Bundle】Includes 1 soft TPU phone case and 2 high-quality tempered glass screen protectors for 360° protection against drops, scratches, and daily wear.
- 【Durable TPU Shockproof Case】Flexible yet tough TPU material cushions impacts while keeping your phone slim, lightweight, and comfortable to hold.
- 【9H Tempered Glass Screen Protectors】Each protector offers ultra-clear visibility, 9H hardness for scratch resistance, and smooth touch sensitivity.

- 【Easy Installation & Case Compatibility】Bubble-free installation for both screen protectors; case-friendly design ensures compatibility with the included TPU case.
Choose the GT 30 Pro when these priorities matter most
- You want documented 120fps PUBG Mobile support and a review showing smooth, generally stable gaming.
- You value a 108MP main camera and good daylight results more than the GT 50 Pro’s listed battery and chipset upgrades.
- You are shopping near the documented India launch prices of ₹24,999 or ₹26,999, subject to current stock and promotions.
- You want known features such as 3D VCC cooling, ultrasonic triggers, Bypass Charging 2.0, wireless charging and optional active cooling.
Accept the GT 30 Pro’s shorter stated software-support promise and occasional bugs as part of the lower-cost decision.
Is the GT 50 Pro worth upgrading from the GT 30 Pro?
For most GT 30 Pro owners, not automatically. The GT 50 Pro’s listed 6,500mAh battery, Dimensity 8400 and UFS 4.1 are meaningful on paper, but the GT 30 Pro already offers smooth high-frame-rate gaming, 120fps PUBG Mobile support, a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display and gaming controls. Without independent GT 50 Pro testing, an upgrade could deliver longer sessions but not a clearly visible frame-rate improvement.
An upgrade makes more sense if your current GT 30 Pro battery health has declined, you regularly exhaust 5,500mAh during long sessions, or the GT 50 Pro adds a verified control, cooling or software-support improvement in your region. It makes less sense if you mainly take daylight photos, play in short sessions and are satisfied with the GT 30 Pro’s performance.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Before trading in, compare the two exact retail configurations, check the GT 50 Pro’s update policy and confirm that your favorite games expose the frame-rate modes you want. If the price difference is large, an external cooler or replacement battery strategy for the GT 30 Pro may address the real problem more cheaply, provided those accessories are available and supported locally.
How to verify a GT 50 Pro listing before purchase
- Match the model number and region. Use the model number on the box and official product page; do not rely on a retailer title alone.
- Confirm core hardware. Check that the listing states the expected Dimensity 8400, 6,500mAh battery and UFS 4.1 storage, and record the RAM and storage combination.
- Read the display and control details. Verify resolution, refresh-rate modes, touch response and whether the phone has ultrasonic or another type of gaming trigger.
- Check charging behavior. Confirm wired and wireless charging specifications, bypass-charging support, charger inclusion and regional electrical compatibility.
- Review cameras and protection. Verify the main-camera resolution and any IP rating for your exact edition instead of importing specifications from a database comparison.
- Confirm support and warranty. Get the Android-version and security-update commitment in writing, then check that warranty service is available in your country.
- Price the complete setup. Add a case, cooler, charger and shipping or import costs before comparing the total with a GT 30 Pro bundle.
Final buying verdict
The GT 50 Pro is the more ambitious gaming phone by published specification: its listed 6,500mAh battery, Dimensity 8400 and UFS 4.1 give it the higher ceiling. It is the right choice for buyers who prioritize newer hardware and can verify the exact regional configuration, support policy and warranty.
The GT 30 Pro is the better-supported decision today. Its 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, 120fps PUBG Mobile and MLBB certifications, 3D VCC cooling, ultrasonic triggers, wireless charging and independently observed smooth gaming make its capabilities concrete. Its 108MP camera and documented India launch prices further strengthen its everyday value. Unless the GT 50 Pro’s larger battery or a confirmed regional feature solves a specific problem, GT 30 Pro owners should not upgrade solely because the newer model has bigger numbers.
