The Infinix GT 30 Pro is the better fit if you want a larger 144Hz display, dedicated gaming triggers and wireless charging. The POCO X8 Pro is the stronger spec-sheet pick for battery capacity and wired charging, and it lists a different, higher-tier-named chipset. Neither phone can be called faster, longer-lasting or better at photos from specifications alone. In India, the displayed price gap ranges from ₹8,000 to ₹10,891 across the checked listings, with the POCO price and stock differing by source.

Which phone has the better gaming display and controls?
The GT 30 Pro has the larger panel and higher refresh-rate specification: 6.78 inches at 144Hz, compared with the POCO’s 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. That can make the Infinix more appealing if screen size and a high refresh-rate mode matter to you. A refresh-rate specification does not mean every game runs at that rate; game support and device conditions matter.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsInfinix also lists dedicated GT gaming triggers and customizable Mecha Lights. These are hardware and customization differences, not proof of higher frame rates or better performance in every game. POCO lists 3,500-nit peak brightness over 25% of its screen, but the headline brightness figure alone does not settle which display is easier to see in every setting.

How do the chipsets compare?
Infinix names a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate built on a 4nm process; POCO names the Dimensity 8500-Ultra. Those official names identify the processors, but the available figures do not establish a controlled, like-for-like performance advantage for either phone.
POCO reports an AnTuTu V11.0.8 score of 2,283,558 from its internal labs in 2026, tested at about 25°C, and cautions that results vary with conditions. There is no corresponding GT 30 Pro score from the same test setup here, so this number is not a direct comparison. Sustained gaming performance also cannot be inferred from one unmatched benchmark figure.

Battery capacity, charging and protection
The POCO lists a larger battery: 6,500mAh typical versus 5,500mAh for the Infinix. That is a capacity comparison, not a guarantee of longer screen-on time; usage, software, display settings and network conditions affect runtime.

POCO’s rated wired charging is higher at 100W HyperCharge. Infinix specifies 45W wired charging, plus 30W wireless and 10W reverse wired charging. Wireless charging is a notable option if you want to charge without plugging in. POCO advises checking with the local seller about whether the adapter is included. Infinix’s India listing says the GT 30 Pro has an IP64 rating; the official POCO page used here does not confirm an equivalent rating.

Camera hardware: resolution is not the whole story
The Infinix pairs a 108MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 13MP front camera. POCO lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 20MP front camera. Infinix leads on the main-camera megapixel count; POCO specifies optical stabilization on its main camera and a higher-resolution front camera.
These differences describe hardware, not comparative photo quality. Megapixels alone do not determine detail, color or low-light results, and no direct sample-based camera test is established here. If camera quality is a deciding factor, look for comparable photos and video from both exact models rather than choosing by resolution.

What is the price difference in India?
The Infinix Mobiles India store lists the GT 30 Pro 5G+ at ₹31,999 and offers 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB selections. For the POCO X8 Pro, 91mobiles lists ₹39,999 but marks the phone out of stock; Smartprix lists ₹42,890 and says its product details were last updated October 1, 2026. These are page snapshots, not guaranteed checkout prices.
| India listing comparison | Displayed price | Difference versus Infinix at ₹31,999 | Availability or date note |

For a valid buying comparison, check the same RAM and storage tier, seller, stock status and date. The two listed POCO prices produce different gaps, and neither should be treated as a universal or current checkout offer. These India figures should not be mixed with European launch pricing: Cinco Días reported POCO launch prices of €399.99 for 8GB/256GB, €449.99 for 8GB/512GB and €479.99 for 12GB/512GB on March 17, 2026. Those are launch-reported euro prices, not current India prices. See Cinco Días’ launch coverage.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Infinix GT 30 Pro if
- You prefer its larger 144Hz display and dedicated gaming triggers.
- You want wireless charging in addition to wired charging.
- You value its 108MP main-camera hardware and can verify an attractive local price for the variant you want.
Choose the POCO X8 Pro if
- You prioritize its 6,500mAh stated battery capacity and 100W wired charging.
- You prefer its named Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, while recognizing that the available evidence does not quantify a head-to-head speed advantage.
- You can confirm local stock, seller, adapter availability and a price that makes sense for your storage tier.
If gaming performance, battery life or camera quality is the deciding factor, seek matched independent testing for both phones. On specifications and the cited India listings alone, the choice is between the Infinix’s display, controls and wireless charging, and the POCO’s larger stated battery and higher-rated wired charging—not a proven overall winner.
