For a strong general off-field Ineffa, use Fractured Halo when available, farm four pieces of Aubade of Morningstar and Moon, start with ATK% sands and goblet plus a CRIT circlet, and level her Skill before her Burst. Prospector’s Shovel is the practical free-to-play weapon route. Treat Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery and even weapon rankings as team-dependent choices rather than fixed rules.
What Ineffa does and why this build works
Ineffa is primarily an off-field damage dealer who also supplies a shield and team utility. Her Elemental Skill summons Birgitta, creates an ATK-scaling shield and lets you swap to your on-field character while the summon continues contributing Electro application and damage. Her Burst deals area-of-effect Electro damage and can re-summon or reset Birgitta when the summon is already active.

The guides consulted describe Ineffa converting Electro-Charged into Lunar-Charged while she is in the party. Her Burst also grants an Elemental Mastery buff based on her ATK. That combination explains the default ATK focus: ATK improves her own damage, strengthens the Skill shield and raises the value of the ATK-derived team buff. It is a broad, efficient stat rather than a claim that every reaction team should ignore EM.

Recommended build at a glance
- Role: off-field Electro damage with a shield and team buff.
- Weapon goal: Fractured Halo; use Prospector’s Shovel for a cited free-to-play path.
- Artifact goal: four-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon for general personal damage.
- Main stats: ATK% sands, ATK% goblet and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG circlet.
- Substats: balance CRIT and ATK%; add EM when Ineffa owns meaningful reactions, and add only the ER your rotation requires.
- Talents: Elemental Skill first, Elemental Burst second; Normal Attack is low priority for the usual off-field role.
Which weapon should you use?
Fractured Halo leads both the Prydwen and Icy Veins recommendations. Its value is not limited to Ineffa’s personal ATK and CRIT profile: the guides emphasize a teamwide Lunar-Charged damage benefit, which is especially relevant when another party member also deals Lunar-Charged damage. That makes it the strongest first choice for a team built around that damage type, but it does not mean every account must obtain it.
Weapon choices
| Weapon | Best use | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Fractured Halo | Highest listed general option and strongest support for Lunar-Charged teams | Signature weapon; value depends on how much of the party benefits from its team effect. |
| Prospector’s Shovel | Free-to-play route | Prydwen calls it Ineffa’s best F2P option; Icy Veins describes access through the blacksmith. |
| Staff of the Scarlet Sands | High-end alternative when already owned | Prydwen places it immediately behind Fractured Halo in its displayed list, but its calculation includes a stack assumption. |
| Other owned polearms | Resource-saving choice for an established account | Compare base stats, passive uptime and refinement on your account instead of following a universal order. |
Prydwen’s displayed guide calculation gives Fractured Halo at 116% team DPS relative to its reference and Staff of the Scarlet Sands at 105% at refinement rank 1. Those are that guide’s modeled results, not an in-game guarantee; target count, refinements, rotations and assumptions can change the ordering. Genshin Builds Team likewise includes other weapons and notes that refinements, target count and Moonsign conditions affect performance.
How to choose without the signature
- Check whether your team actually contains another Lunar-Charged damage dealer. If not, the signature’s team buff may contribute less than its headline ranking suggests.
- Use Prospector’s Shovel if you want a reliable no-purchase route and do not already have a clearly better polearm.
- Compare the weapons already leveled on your account. A high-refinement option with a passive you can maintain may outperform a low-refinement theoretical recommendation in your real rotation.
- Do not spend resources chasing a guide percentage as though it were a universal benchmark. The published values are scenario calculations.
Best artifact set for general off-field damage
Four-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon
Farm four pieces of Aubade of Morningstar and Moon for the default personal-damage build. Genshin Builds Team ranks it first among its listed sets, and Prydwen also places it first. This is the efficient target when Ineffa is expected to contribute regular off-field damage rather than function only as a shield-and-buff slot.
When Silken Moon’s Serenade makes sense
Silken Moon’s Serenade is a conditional alternative. It becomes more attractive when another teammate is not already carrying it and your team can use its effect. In a coordinated party, the set’s team utility can be worth giving up some of Ineffa’s personal output; if someone else already provides the effect, Aubade is the cleaner default.
Transitional combinations
Two-piece ATK or EM combinations are sensible while farming. Use them to reach usable CRIT and ATK totals rather than waiting for a perfect four-piece set. Gilded Dreams and other alternatives appear in the guide rankings, but they should be evaluated against the reaction ownership and buffs in your particular party, not treated as automatic upgrades.
| Artifact plan | Choose it when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| 4-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon | You want the strongest general personal-damage recommendation | Requires a complete four-piece farm with suitable stats. |
| 4-piece Silken Moon’s Serenade | Your team needs its effect and no better teammate is wearing it | Can trade Ineffa’s personal damage for broader team utility. |
| 2-piece ATK/EM combinations | You are still farming or have strong mixed pieces | Lower ceiling than a finished four-piece target, but often better than unusable set pieces. |
Main stats and substats
Default main-stat line
Begin with ATK% / ATK% / CRIT on sands, goblet and circlet. Choose CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the circlet according to the balance of your existing pieces. ATK% is the default goblet as well as the default sands because it supports damage, shield strength and the ATK-based Elemental Mastery buff at the same time.
When to use Elemental Mastery
EM is not automatically better than ATK. Consider an EM sands or goblet chiefly when Ineffa herself consistently triggers a reaction such as Hyperbloom. If another character owns the reaction, replacing an ATK main stat can reduce the parts of Ineffa’s kit that scale from ATK without giving her the reaction benefit. Check who is applying the final element in your actual rotation before changing the stat line.

Use CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG to build a balanced ratio, then ATK%. EM is a valuable secondary stat when Ineffa triggers reactions; otherwise it is a useful but lower-priority improvement. ER belongs wherever the rotation requires it, not at a fixed percentage copied from another team.
- Damage-focused baseline: CRIT balance, ATK%, then useful EM.
- Reaction-owner variant: keep enough CRIT and ATK to avoid losing her normal damage, then value EM more heavily.
- Support-heavy variant: favor the ATK needed for her shield and buff, adding ER only if Burst timing demands it.
How much Energy Recharge does Ineffa need?
There is no responsible universal ER target in the cited guides. Genshin Builds Team says a team that uses her Burst every other rotation can ignore ER, while forcing a Burst every rotation may cost personal damage. Icy Veins gives the same trade-off and bases its displayed every-rotation recommendation on a team containing a second Electro unit.
Choose your Burst schedule first
- Every other rotation: keep ER low if the Burst is not required for your team’s damage or buff timing. Spend those substats on CRIT and ATK instead.
- Every rotation: add ER until the Burst is ready on the desired schedule, especially if the team relies on its AoE hit, Birgitta reset or ATK-derived EM buff.
- Adjust for the team: a second Electro character, funneling particles, enemy count and rotation length all change the amount required. Test the actual team rather than targeting a number from an unrelated sample.
Watch the first two rotations in a normal combat encounter. If the Burst is ready early, remove excess ER on future pieces; if it misses the planned swap window, keep ER until the timing is stable. This approach preserves more damage than blindly building for the most demanding possible rotation.

Talent priority and leveling plan
Elemental Skill first
Level the Skill before the Burst. It controls the shield and Birgitta, the two parts of Ineffa’s usual off-field contribution that remain active while another character is on field.
Recommended Free Tools
Elemental Burst second
Raise the Burst after the Skill. It supplies an area Electro hit and can re-summon or reset Birgitta when she is already present, so its value rises in rotations that use it consistently.
Normal Attack last
Normal Attacks can wait or be skipped for the standard off-field playstyle. Invest in them only if you deliberately keep Ineffa on field and your team uses her basic attacks, which is a different build objective from the one described here.
- Level the Skill to the point your resources allow.
- Bring the Burst up next to improve its damage and rotation value.
- Leave Normal Attack investment for the end unless your account uses an on-field variant.
Practical rotation
The guides support a simple handoff pattern rather than a fixed universal script. Ineffa applies her setup, then leaves the field while Birgitta works.
- Switch to Ineffa and cast her Elemental Skill to summon Birgitta and create the shield.
- Cast the Burst when it matches the team’s energy plan. If Birgitta is already active, use the Burst’s reset or re-summon interaction to extend the setup according to the skill timing in your version.
- Swap to the team’s on-field character and complete that character’s rotation while Birgitta continues dealing damage and applying Electro.
- Return to Ineffa when the summon, shield or Burst schedule requires refreshing.
Do not force the Burst immediately after every Skill if doing so desynchronizes the rest of the team. The guides describe a long summon duration, but the useful timing depends on your other cooldowns, particle generation and whether you selected an every-rotation or alternate-rotation Burst plan.

Build decisions by team goal
Maximize Ineffa’s personal damage
Use Aubade of Morningstar and Moon, the ATK/ATK/CRIT main-stat line and enough CRIT substats to maintain a balanced ratio. Choose Fractured Halo when its Lunar-Charged team effect is active for your party; otherwise compare it with the strongest polearm already owned. Keep ER to the minimum that lets your chosen rotation function.
Maximize Lunar-Charged team support
Fractured Halo becomes more compelling when several party members deal Lunar-Charged damage. Keep ATK investment because it supports Ineffa’s shield and ATK-derived buff, and consider Silken Moon’s Serenade when no teammate is already carrying its team effect.
Build around Ineffa-triggered reactions
Retain ATK as the starting point, then shift toward EM only after confirming that Ineffa frequently owns reactions such as Hyperbloom. The correct change may be a single EM main stat or stronger EM substats rather than replacing every ATK piece.
Guarantee frequent Burst utility
Raise ER until the Burst arrives on the required rotation, accepting that some CRIT or ATK rolls may be displaced. This is a deliberate support trade-off: more reliable Burst damage, summon reset and buff access in exchange for lower personal output than a low-ER build.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFarming and upgrade path for a new account
- Equip a usable polearm first. Prospector’s Shovel provides the cited free-to-play route through the blacksmith. Do not delay building Ineffa while waiting for a signature weapon.
- Set the main stats. Assemble any ATK% sands and goblet plus a CRIT circlet, even if the set bonuses are temporary.
- Use mixed two-piece sets. ATK/EM combinations with good CRIT are functional while you farm Aubade of Morningstar and Moon.
- Level the Skill. This improves the most important off-field package: shield and summon.
- Test the rotation. Decide whether the Burst is every rotation or every other rotation before spending artifacts on ER.
- Replace pieces by impact. Upgrade the weakest main stat first, then improve CRIT balance, ATK% and reaction-relevant EM.
Common mistakes and fixes
Copying a weapon ranking without its assumptions
Guide lists can differ below the signature because they model different refinements, target counts and Moonsign conditions. Use the ranking as a starting point, then compare the polearms you actually own.

Building EM on every team
EM gains value when Ineffa triggers the reaction. If another character owns the reaction, ATK generally does more for Ineffa’s shield, damage and buff package.
Chasing a fixed ER number
Every-rotation and alternate-rotation Bursts have different requirements. A second Electro unit and particle funneling can also change the result. Count the energy in your own two-rotation test.
Overinvesting in Normal Attacks
Normal Attack talent levels do little for the normal off-field plan. Put those resources into Skill and Burst first.
Using a conditional artifact set automatically
Silken Moon’s Serenade is most useful when its effect is needed and no teammate already carries it. Otherwise the general personal-damage value of Aubade is the safer target.
How to validate your finished build
- Can the Skill shield cover the opening of your on-field character’s rotation?
- Does Birgitta remain active for the intended field time before you need to refresh?
- Is the Burst ready exactly when your selected rotation expects it?
- Are CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG reasonably balanced rather than stacked heavily into one?
- If you invested in EM, is Ineffa actually triggering enough reactions to justify the ATK you gave up?
- Does the weapon’s passive activate reliably in your real target count and rotation?
If any answer is no, adjust the relevant stat or timing rather than replacing the entire build. Ineffa’s kit supports several valid versions because the same ATK investment can serve damage, shielding and buffing, while ER and EM change with team ownership and rotation demands.
Version and source caveat
These recommendations synthesize the current community guides from Genshin Builds Team, Prydwen and Icy Veins available for their listed 2026 guide versions.
