The accessible report excerpt does not give exact visit totals, so the names indicate which apps led within those categories, not how large the gaps were.

The wording matters: this is a comparison of attention to app pages at a particular point in time. It does not show that Food & Drink or Finance as a whole received more visits than every other category, nor that their apps earned more revenue, converted more visitors, or attracted more downloads.
Why directory counts are a different measure
Productivity appears frequently in indie-app directories, but listings measure supply, not audience attention. On the Get Indie Apps categories page accessed October 7, 2026, the directory displayed 372 apps across 25 categories, including 23 Productivity listings, 11 Food & Drink listings, and 16 Finance listings. Those are counts from that directory, not the 262-app Censuus population and not traffic figures. Get Indie Apps categories can provide inventory context, but it cannot verify Censuus’s visit comparison.

Use the result as a discovery signal
The snapshot suggests that leading apps in Food & Drink and Finance drew notable page attention within the reported comparison. For a maker exploring categories, that can be a reason to investigate those products and the audiences they serve—not proof that the category is easier to enter or more profitable.

Do not confuse a category leader with category-wide demand
A standout app can account for attention that is not shared by other apps in its category. The available excerpt gives neither per-app visit totals nor a complete category breakdown, so it cannot show whether visits were broadly distributed or concentrated in one leader.
Keep the metric separate from business outcomes
Page visits measure attention to an app page. They do not reveal how many visitors downloaded or used the app, whether they returned, or whether the maker generated revenue. Those questions need separate evidence.
