But do not start until you have written permission for the specific footage and its embedded material, and your channel meets YouTube’s live-streaming requirements. A video being public or downloadable does not give you rebroadcast rights.
Get permission for the exact tournament footage first
A 24/7 rerun is a public broadcast, not merely replaying a video for personal viewing. YouTube says the person providing a livestream must hold the necessary rights for its content, including music rights. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions explain those responsibilities.

Identify the rights holders for every part of the VOD, not just the Free Fire gameplay. Depending on the event, that may include the tournament organizer, broadcast producer, casters, music licensors, graphics creators and anyone whose footage or overlays appear. Ask the relevant rights holders for written permission that expressly covers:
- Continuous or repeated livestreaming of the specific VODs on your YouTube channel.
- The territory covered, such as India or worldwide, and how long the permission lasts.
- Whether you may archive the stream and monetize it.
- Music, commentary, graphics and other material included in the broadcast.
- Content ID allowlisting for your channel, if the rights holder uses Content ID.
Garena’s India Terms of Service describe a limited personal-use license and state that it does not authorize commercial use of the services or their individual elements. They do not establish a general right to rebroadcast a third party’s tournament VOD. Ask the event organizer or other relevant rights holder about the specific broadcast rights; do not treat access to the game or a publicly available VOD as a broadcast license.

Credit and disclaimers are not permission
Giving credit or writing “I do not own this” does not grant rights. Copyright exceptions vary by country and region, so do not assume that a U.S. fair-use explanation automatically applies to a stream in India. See YouTube’s fair-use guidance.
Check whether your channel can go live
YouTube Help says live streaming requires a verified channel, no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days and an account holder aged 16 or older. The same guidance lists up to 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance for the current rules and your channel’s status before scheduling a rerun.

Set up the rerun with an encoder
You need the licensed VOD files or playlist, an encoder that can loop them, and a stable connection from the encoder to YouTube. YouTube provides an encoder stream URL and stream key; the encoder—not the generic YouTube setup page—must handle the repeating playlist and reconnect behavior. The exact controls depend on the encoder you choose, so test its operation with your actual files and output settings instead of assuming it will loop indefinitely.
- Prepare the approved files. Keep the playlist limited to VODs covered by your permission. Check that each file plays with the expected picture, aspect ratio and audio before putting it on air.
- Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream using an encoder. Set its title, audience and other stream details as appropriate for the event and your channel.
- Copy the connection details into your encoder. Use the stream URL and stream key shown by YouTube. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or show it on screen, and reset it if it is exposed.
- Build and test the loop in the encoder. Add only authorized VODs, enable the encoder’s repeat or playlist-loop option, and configure its recovery behavior. The names and capabilities of these controls vary by software. YouTube’s stream settings help covers its own stream settings, including DVR and auto-start/auto-stop options; those settings do not guarantee that a third-party encoder will keep a playlist running or recover from every failure.
- Run a private or unlisted test. Check the complete VOD, including sound, for picture, audio, connection and playlist issues. Review YouTube’s live checks for copyright notices before making the stream public.
- Start the encoder and monitor the live stream. Confirm that YouTube receives the encoder feed and that the playlist advances as intended. Do not rely on an unattended 24/7 setup until you have tested the exact encoder, files, connection and channel configuration.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want the rerun to continue without keeping a computer or home connection on, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos as a YouTube livestream from the cloud. The setup is: upload the licensed VOD or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, then go live. It is for uploaded videos, not a live camera feed.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Plan for copyright checks and monetization separately
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live picture, interrupt the stream or terminate it. YouTube warns that even licensed material may be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel in Content ID. If you archive the stream, a Content ID claim may also arrive after the broadcast ends. Details are in YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Permission and monetization are separate questions. YouTube’s reused-content policy can affect monetization at the channel level even when you have permission to use the footage. A minimally changed, continuous replay of someone else’s tournament VOD may not show enough original value. If monetization matters, add substantial original commentary, analysis or educational framing and make that contribution clear throughout the channel. YouTube gives “replays of a sports tournament where you explain the moves a competitor did to succeed” as an example that may be eligible; it is not a guarantee for a particular channel. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Quick Recap
Troubleshoot common rerun failures
- YouTube blocks or interrupts the broadcast: Check Live Control Room for copyright notices and contact the relevant rights holder. Confirm that the permission covers the matched material and ask the owner to allowlist your channel in Content ID. A license alone may not stop live interruptions.
- The stream stops when the playlist ends: Check that looping is enabled in the encoder’s playlist or file settings. YouTube’s stream settings do not configure every encoder’s repeat behavior.
- The stream does not return after a disconnect: Check the encoder’s reconnect or recovery settings and test them with your real connection. Do not infer that YouTube’s auto-start or auto-stop options provide encoder recovery.
- The encoder cannot connect: Recheck the stream URL and key in the encoder, and confirm that the stream is set up in Live Control Room. If the key has been exposed, reset it and update the encoder with the replacement.
- The live test is clean but the archived VOD receives a claim: YouTube says archived streams can receive Content ID claims after completion. Review the claim and the rights scope for the matched material; a clean live session does not settle the archive’s status.
- The stream is live but monetization is unavailable: Review the channel-level reused-content policy separately from copyright permissions. Add meaningful original analysis or explanation if it genuinely fits the VOD; permission by itself does not establish monetization eligibility.
