First decide whether you want cartoons to repeat on your own computer or a public YouTube channel to broadcast continuously. For local playback, open the playlist and turn on Loop. For a public livestream, you need an eligible YouTube channel, an encoder such as OBS, a computer that can handle the workload, and upload bandwidth that can sustain the stream. Low RAM has no universal workaround: test the actual machine before relying on it.
Choose between local looping and a public livestream

If you only need cartoons to keep playing for someone at the computer, use the local loop and stop there. The remaining steps are for a public broadcast.

Check that the channel can go live
YouTube’s current live-streaming guidance says the channel must be verified, must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and must meet YouTube’s age requirement. Keep the workload simple
Install OBS Studio, run its Auto-Configuration Wizard, and start with a simple scene rather than multiple animated overlays, browser sources, or other extras. Close unneeded tabs and programs to reduce competing playback and memory load. OBS warns that meeting its basic system requirements does not guarantee a computer can stream or record; the load varies with encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity. Test hardware encoding if available
If the computer exposes a supported hardware encoder, test it. OBS lists examples such as NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Quick Sync, and AMD VCE. Availability depends on the actual hardware and configuration. Use the actual machine as the compatibility test
There is no reliable RAM amount that guarantees 24/7 cartoon streaming on every computer. Run a short test with the intended playlist, scene, output settings, and network, then watch for dropped frames, freezing, audio problems, and resource pressure. A short successful test is useful but cannot establish uninterrupted operation around the clock.

Set stream quality to match sustained upload
Choose the resolution, frame rate, and bitrate using YouTube’s current encoder settings table rather than a generic preset. Its recommended bitrate ranges vary by resolution and frame rate. YouTube says, “The total bitrate you’re streaming cannot exceed the amount of upload bandwidth available,” and recommends leaving 20% headroom. - Run an upload speed test on the connection and computer you will actually use.
- Select a resolution and frame rate from YouTube’s current settings guidance, then choose a bitrate that the connection can sustain with variation.
- Keep total stream bitrate below available upload capacity, leaving YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
- Enter the matching output settings in OBS and test. If the upload varies or frames drop, lower the output setting and test again rather than pushing a bitrate the connection cannot hold.
Stabilize the connection and check the preview
If Wi-Fi is unreliable, YouTube says a wired connection may help. An Ethernet cable is an optional purchase only if both the computer and router support wired networking; it is not required for every home and does not solve low RAM. YouTube: streaming tips

- Connect by Ethernet if Wi-Fi proves unstable and wired networking is available.
- Prepare the encoder in advance and open the YouTube Live Control Room preview.
- Confirm the stream is accessible and check both sound and picture before sharing it as continuous programming.
- Monitor the live stream after launch. A preview check or short test does not prove 24/7 uptime.
Power cuts, overheating, and changing network conditions can interrupt a computer-based stream. The available information does not establish a particular backup-power size or a universal hardware upgrade, so plan around the actual computer and home connection.
Confirm rights to every cartoon before broadcasting
Do not assume that a cartoon’s availability on YouTube means you may rebroadcast it as a public livestream. Confirm that you have the necessary rights for the specific material and comply with applicable YouTube rules before starting. No conclusion about the rights to any particular cartoon can be made without knowing the title and license.
