Those dimensions and weight make it relatively easy to position or move around the home, but choose a location where air can circulate and where regular pre-filter cleaning is convenient. The manual’s environmental limits matter if you plan to use it in a space that is unusually hot, cold or humid.

Filter upkeep and replacement
Maintenance is the main ongoing commitment. IKEA recommends cleaning the pre-filter every 2–4 weeks and replacing the particle filter every six months. The product page says the pre-filter can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and identifies the compatible replacement as the UPPÅTVIND particle filter.
