IKEA LUNDTRAV is a cotton-covered pillow filled with 90% duck feathers and 10% duck down. IKEA lists low and high versions, but the dimensions, article numbers and availability vary by market. The available evidence supports a clear description of the product and its care—not an independent verdict on comfort, support or durability.
What is the IKEA LUNDTRAV pillow?
IKEA describes LUNDTRAV as a pillow with a 100% cotton fabric and a filling of 90% duck feathers and 10% duck down. Its regional listings include low and high versions. IKEA associates the low pillow with stomach sleeping and the high pillow with side or back sleeping; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not individualized sleep or medical advice.

What do reviews say about comfort and support?
The available shopper feedback is limited and historical. A third-party archived result for an IKEA Canada LUNDTRAV low pillow displayed a 4.2 rating from 15 reviews; two surfaced comments described the pillow as soft but said it flattened or did not provide enough support for those reviewers. The page could not be opened for verification, and this small, market-specific sample is not representative evidence of how the pillow performs generally. See the archived IKEA Canada review result.

How does LUNDTRAV compare with polyester-fill pillows?
IKEA’s Singapore catalog contrasts LUNDTRAV’s cotton shell and duck-feather/down filling with polyester-fill options including LAPPTÅTEL and SKOGSFRÄKEN. The useful distinction is filling preference: LUNDTRAV uses animal-derived materials, while those alternatives use synthetic polyester fill. The catalog does not establish a performance winner, and the materials alone do not determine which pillow will feel right to an individual. How do you wash and dry LUNDTRAV?
IKEA’s care guidance says to machine wash the pillow at up to 60°C and tumble dry it until the filling is completely dry. Follow the sewn-in care label on your exact pillow if its instructions differ.
- Wash separately and use one-third of the usual amount of detergent.
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- Tumble dry until the filling is completely dry; IKEA says a dryer ball or quality tennis ball in the dryer may help.
- Air the pillow as part of its care.
IKEA also suggests a pillow protector to help protect the pillow from stains and dirt. Choose one that matches the exact pillow dimensions, since regional listings include both 50 × 60 cm and 50 × 80 cm versions. These care and accessory recommendations are on IKEA’s LUNDTRAV product information.
