The practical case for buying one therefore depends on cabinet fit, the exact regional model, and whether its published features and efficiency figures suit your household.

Check the model number before comparing prices, ordering parts or relying on a review. IKEA UK lists model 805.484.54; IKEA Sweden lists 705.480.63. Specifications and availability can vary by market, so confirm the local product sheet rather than assuming every KALLBODA listing describes the same version.

Will it fit your kitchen?
The UK listing gives appliance dimensions of 59.8 cm wide, 55 cm deep and 86.5 cm high, with an installation-height range of 86.5–92.5 cm. Measure the actual opening, including available depth and clearance, and check the cabinet and door-front arrangement before ordering. The appliance is designed for built-in installation; the front, plinth, worktop and handles are sold separately.

There is one configuration-specific accessory note: IKEA says to complete KALLBODA with a VÅGLIG connection rail when using a BILLSBRO handle. That does not mean the rail is required for every installation. Confirm the required parts for your selected front and handle setup on the local listing.
The UK product page also lists a weight of 47.3 kg and a 175 cm cord. The manual specifies a 220–240 V supply, 50/60 Hz, 2000–2400 W and a 10–16 A fuse. It gives water pressure as 0.5–10 bar, a minimum inlet rate of 10 L/min, and a cold-water connection, with hot water up to 60 °C. These are product specifications, not a substitute for local installation requirements or qualified advice.

What do the capacity and racks offer?
IKEA and the official manual state a capacity of 14 place settings. IKEA UK describes three levels and a pull-out cutlery rack. Place settings are a standard capacity measure, not a promise that every household’s large pans, tall glasses or awkwardly shaped items will fit as desired. If rack layout matters to you, inspect the interior configuration and consider the cookware you use most.

IKEA UK’s product information lists energy-efficiency class C, 75 kWh per 100 Eco cycles, 9.5 litres of water per Eco cycle, and an Eco-program duration of 3 hours 55 minutes. These are Eco-program label figures, not a guarantee of what every cycle or household will use. Consumption depends on the selected program, options and conditions.

The UK listing gives airborne noise as 42 dB. IKEA also estimates annual energy cost at £58.56 through its listing information; that estimate should not be treated as a universal bill because electricity tariffs and household use differ.
Which programs and options are included?
The UK product listing names Auto, Eco, Intensive, Rapid 29-minute, Rapid 60-minute, Pre-rinse, Extra Silent, DryPlus, Intensive Zone, Save Time and Glass programs. It also lists half load, a delayed start of up to 24 hours, internal LED lighting and a floor time beam. These are published features, not independent evidence of cleaning or drying results.

IKEA describes the drying system as mineral drying and says the minerals are intended to last for the dishwasher’s lifespan. That is IKEA’s product claim, not independent evidence about long-term durability.

Which? lists the UK model as a full-sized integrated dishwasher, first reviewed in April 2024, with a September 2023 release date. Its visible summary says the machine is easy to load and unload and uses energy and water efficiently. The detailed score, cleaning and drying results, and full pros and cons require a subscription. Which? also displays a £58.56 annual energy-cost estimate, but the visible page does not make its tariff assumptions clear.

Forbrugerrådet Tænk has a KALLBODA test listing and recorded a Danish price observation of 6,100 DKK in September 2026. Its score and detailed test results require membership. Neither the presence of a listing nor a price observation establishes how well the dishwasher cleans, dries or holds up over time.
The public information available from these review pages does not establish detailed independent cleaning and drying scores, long-term reliability or repair frequency. Without those findings, KALLBODA cannot fairly be called a best buy or a poor performer on the basis of published specifications alone.

Who should consider the KALLBODA?
It is worth shortlisting if you want a fully integrated 60 cm IKEA dishwasher, the measured opening suits its stated height range, and you value the listed programs, 14-place-setting capacity and five-year UK guarantee. Before buying, compare like-for-like integrated models on independent cleaning and drying tests, Eco and everyday-cycle use, noise, rack layout, front-door installation, local price and warranty. The available public test summaries do not support a numerical ranking against alternatives.
- Confirm the regional model number and current local price, stock and guarantee terms.
- Measure the opening and verify the cabinet, door-front and handle configuration.
- Check local plumbing and electrical requirements against the manual and obtain appropriate installation advice.
- Confirm whether a VÅGLIG rail applies to your selected BILLSBRO handle setup.
- Compare test results and everyday-cycle figures where they are publicly available, rather than treating Eco-label values as typical use.
