iFastNet Review 2026: Is Its Cheap Hosting Worth It?

Verdict: iFastNet is a real hosting provider with low annual prices and a broad feature list, but its shared plans have meaningful resource limits and terms that deserve careful reading. It can be a reasonable choice for a small personal site or low-traffic project; it is a riskier default for a business-critical site, busy WordPress installation, or online store.

What is iFastNet?

iFastNet sells shared and business hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, domains, and related services through its own website and client portal. Its portal identifies iFastNet.com as an official place to manage hosting plans, domains, VPS servers, and payments (iFastNet client portal information).

It is also connected to InfinityFree, a separate free-hosting service. InfinityFree says it is sponsored by iFastNet and presents iFastNet paid hosting as an upgrade for customers seeking more server power, cPanel, email, and personal support (InfinityFree premium hosting). That relationship does not make InfinityFree’s free service and iFastNet’s paid hosting interchangeable: they are distinct products with different controls, limits, and support expectations.

Being an operating provider with published plans and terms establishes that iFastNet is a real service; it does not establish uptime, support quality, migration success, or suitability for a particular workload.

How much does iFastNet cost?

The following prices were displayed on iFastNet’s live order page on August 18, 2026. They can change, so check the checkout page for the current amount and billing conditions before paying.

Plan Annual price checked Aug. 18, 2026 Storage and traffic listed Domains Email accounts MySQL databases
Starter Premium $29.99/year 10 GB storage; 250 GB traffic 1 addon domain; 1 subdomain 1 1
Super Premium $56.78/year Unlimited storage; 250 GB traffic 20 addon domains; 20 subdomains 100 20
Ultimate Premium $85.22/year Unlimited storage and traffic Unlimited addon domains and subdomains Unlimited Unlimited

These are plan-page allowances, not dedicated server capacity. In particular, the order page’s “unlimited” labels remain subject to server capacity and acceptable-use terms. See the iFastNet premium hosting order page for the listed plan details.

What do the resource limits mean in practice?

iFastNet’s shared-hosting page lists limits that matter more to a busy site than its headline storage or traffic allowance. Across Starter, Super, and Ultimate, it lists CPU allocations of 200%, 300%, and 350%; entry-process limits of 20, 30, and 35; and I/O limits of 400, 600, and 800 IOPS. It lists 38 MySQL connections across the plans and a sending limit of 200 emails per hour. The same page includes physical-RAM figures, but the Ultimate entry is formatted as “3.53B,” which is unclear and should not be treated as a reliable memory specification without confirmation (iFastNet shared-hosting specifications).

  • A WordPress site can encounter CPU, entry-process, I/O, or database constraints while using little disk space.
  • A traffic allowance does not promise that a site will handle sudden visitor spikes smoothly.
  • Shared hosting places multiple customers on common infrastructure, so workload and account-level limits matter alongside advertised storage.

The terms say unlimited-storage plans remain subject to physical server capacity and restrict storage to legitimate, active website content. They prohibit using hosting as a repository for backups, downloads, or other non-web content, and specifically disallow password-protected ZIP or RAR archives (iFastNet terms). This makes the unlimited label a poor reason to choose the plan for file archiving or backup storage.

There is also an unresolved inode-limit discrepancy in iFastNet’s own materials. The terms page lists 380,000 inodes for Starter and 840,000 for Super and Ultimate; a separate terms PDF lists 180,000 for premium plans. Because inodes count files and directories, the difference can matter for sites with many images, cached files, email messages, or generated variants. Ask support which limit applies to the exact plan and save the answer before relying on it (terms page; terms PDF).

What features are included?

iFastNet’s shared-hosting page advertises cPanel, Softaculous, free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates, PHP versions from 5.2 through 8.4, MySQL and phpMyAdmin, Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, cron jobs, .htaccess control, remote MySQL, site statistics, and a site builder. It also lists POP3, IMAP, SMTP, webmail, SpamAssassin, forwarders, catch-all addresses, and MailChannels sending.

The page’s broad PHP-version range is not a recommendation to run old versions. Use a currently supported PHP version compatible with your application; outdated runtimes can expose a site to security and compatibility problems. Likewise, a listed technology or one-click installer establishes advertised availability, not performance under your application’s workload.

Backups and migration

The feature page mentions server-level backups, but the available terms do not establish a complete customer backup guarantee with a specified schedule, retention period, and restoration commitment. Maintain your own off-site copies of site files and database, and test that you can restore them.

InfinityFree says iFastNet will migrate an InfinityFree site at no extra charge when the customer signs up and requests it through a support ticket. The same page says the migration is intended to minimize downtime and that customers can retain their own domain or use an InfinityFree subdomain. These are first-party statements, not independently measured migration results (InfinityFree premium page).

Is iFastNet reliable and fast?

The available independent evidence does not establish a dependable iFastNet-specific uptime percentage, speed benchmark, or long-term performance result. That means it would be misleading to label the service either reliably fast or demonstrably unreliable based on a measured test.

Before moving a site that matters, assess the actual workload during the period when you can still change course. Check page response and WordPress admin responsiveness, database-heavy actions, scheduled jobs, and behavior during traffic increases. Ask support how to retrieve and restore backups, and test the restore process. For a business site, the cost of downtime or a failed recovery may outweigh the savings on the annual plan.

Is iFastNet support good?

iFastNet advertises free 24/7 technical support on its sales materials. That is a statement about advertised availability, not independently verified response time, resolution quality, or weekend escalation. No sufficiently strong, current independent dataset establishes those service outcomes. Its customer-service page provides a place to review contact and support options.

Refunds, suspension, email, and domain risks

Refund terms are unclear across official pages

One iFastNet terms page says refunds are at the company’s discretion and that hosting payments are nonrefundable when a customer stops service partway through a paid term (iFastNet terms and warranty language). In contrast, InfinityFree’s premium page advertises a seven-day money-back guarantee for iFastNet premium hosting (InfinityFree premium page). Do not assume either statement settles the terms for every plan or checkout. Before ordering, confirm the refund rule for the exact product, term, and payment method; retain the checkout terms and receipt.

Suspension rights and acceptable use

iFastNet’s terms allow it to remove content or suspend service when content violates the terms or causes network or server overload. The terms restrict or prohibit uses including proxy scripts, anonymous services, bulk email, processor-intensive database jobs, attempts to access privileged server resources, and non-website file storage. A site may therefore face restrictions because of workload or use, even if its disk or traffic consumption appears modest. Keep independent backups and know how you would move the site if necessary (iFastNet acceptable-use terms).

Email is for ordinary site use, not bulk campaigns

The shared-hosting page lists a 200-email-per-hour sending limit. The terms say outgoing email is monitored and filtered and must be sent to or from an iFastNet-hosted domain. That makes shared-hosting email a poor fit for newsletters, bulk campaigns, high-volume transactional messages, or mission-critical notifications. Use a dedicated email-sending provider for those workloads.

Verify domain ownership and transfer conditions

An iFastNet portal terms page says free domains bundled with paid hosting remain iFastNet’s property and describes a $29.99 transfer administration fee, which may be waived after more than 12 months of service or sooner at iFastNet’s discretion. Because this may depend on the promotion and contract in effect, confirm who owns any bundled domain, whether transfer restrictions or fees apply, whether renewal is included, and what happens if hosting is canceled (iFastNet portal terms).

Is iFastNet suitable for WordPress?

It can be suitable for a personal blog, small informational site, or early-stage WordPress project with modest traffic and an owner comfortable with cPanel and troubleshooting. iFastNet advertises PHP, MySQL, cPanel, and Softaculous, but software compatibility is not proof of strong WordPress performance.

Be more cautious with WooCommerce, membership sites, heavy plugins, frequent scheduled jobs, high-traffic publishing, or client sites where an outage has financial consequences. Before committing, verify the PHP version and memory limits for your application, how entry processes and database connections affect it, whether required plugins and workloads are permitted, and how caching, cron, email, and backup restoration will work. If you need guaranteed capacity, WordPress-specialist support, staging, or predictable performance, compare a managed WordPress service or a hosting option with clearer resource commitments.

How does iFastNet compare with InfinityFree?

InfinityFree is a free service; iFastNet is its paid-hosting relationship and upgrade path. InfinityFree positions the paid option as offering more server power, cPanel, email, and personal support. Those are useful distinctions for someone outgrowing a free account, but they do not establish a particular performance level for the paid service. The migration offer is also a first-party claim rather than an independently tested guarantee (InfinityFree premium information).

Choose between them based on what the site requires: a free experiment with limited expectations is a different decision from a site that needs email, cPanel access, or paid support. Do not use reviews of InfinityFree as direct evidence of iFastNet’s paid-hosting performance.

Who should consider iFastNet?

Site or reader Assessment
Static personal site or portfolio Reasonable budget candidate if shared hosting is acceptable.
Small, low-traffic blog or brochure site Potentially suitable, with independent backups and realistic performance expectations.
Several small sites Higher tiers offer more domains and accounts, but do not remove shared-resource limits.
WooCommerce, ecommerce, or membership site Use caution; verify load handling, restore process, email, and support before relying on it.
High-traffic WordPress or agency client sites Prefer clearer resource guarantees and stronger evidence of support and recovery performance.
Large file archive or backup repository Poor fit under the stated restrictions on non-website storage.
Bulk email or business-critical notifications Poor fit for shared-hosting email; use a dedicated sending service.

What to check before paying

  1. Review the exact checkout page and save the price, billing term, renewal conditions, and refund language.
  2. Ask support which inode limit applies to the plan and get clarification on any technical specification that is unclear.
  3. Confirm the ownership and transfer terms for any bundled domain, including renewal and cancellation consequences.
  4. Ask how often backups are made, how long they are retained, and what restoration process is available; keep your own off-site backup regardless.
  5. For a site with business value, test the application’s response, support experience, and restore process before moving critical traffic.
