What is the IEI NANO-X100?
The NANO-X100 is an industrial and embedded EPIC single-board computer (SBC) designed for edge systems. IEI identifies the processor family as AMD Ryzen AI Embedded X100 and positions the board for applications such as robotics, machine vision, video analytics, industrial automation and edge surveillance. Does the NANO-X100 have 16 CPU cores and 128GB of RAM?
Memory: 64GB listed, up to 128GB on selected SKUs
IEI’s product page lists 64GB of onboard LPDDR5-8533, and identifies 64GB as the default for the NANO-X100-R10. The company’s announcement says selected SKUs can support up to 128GB of LPDDR5x. That is a maximum for selected configurations, not the standard listed memory capacity; confirm the available capacity for the exact SKU with IEI or a distributor.
CPU cores: 16 is a family ceiling, not a confirmed board configuration
The Ryzen AI Embedded X100 family can reach 16 Zen 5 cores. However, Notebookcheck reported on August 23, 2026 that IEI had not disclosed the specific core counts it would offer in the NANO-X100. What IEI says the AI hardware is for
IEI describes the board as combining Zen 5 CPU cores, AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics and AMD XDNA 2 NPU acceleration. It cites local inference and workloads including video analytics, event detection, machine vision, autonomous mobile robot control and industrial automation. The company also describes a demonstration using its AiEi software platform for video analytics, event detection and centralized management. Who should consider this board?
The published feature set makes the NANO-X100 a candidate for embedded deployments that need multiple high-speed wired network connections, serial interfaces, local AI acceleration or modular storage and connectivity. Before choosing it, confirm the specific CPU and memory SKU, required M.2 module compatibility, enclosure and cooling needs, operating-temperature limits, software support and product lifecycle with IEI or its distributor.

For comparisons with other industrial SBCs, useful like-for-like criteria include confirmed CPU SKU and core count, memory type and capacity, NPU specification, dimensions and cooling, Ethernet ports and speed, display and serial I/O, expansion, voltage and temperature limits, operating-system support, lifecycle and price.
