RecallMeet is built to answer a narrow question before a project meeting: what do I need to know before this meeting? It does that by pulling prior project history, including commitments, open questions, and what a client has said they care about, instead of summarizing only the most recent call. The design is described in a DEV Community write-up by Mouktika Mantravadi. It is an architecture account, not an independent test of whether the agent prepares people better.
Why a transcript is not enough
A transcript records what was said. That is useful for finding a quote, but it does not tell you which promise is still open, which decision was reversed two meetings ago, or which concern a client raised once and never heard answered. The write-up makes this point directly: “A meeting transcript can tell us what was said, but that alone does not necessarily provide useful preparation for the next meeting.”

The problem RecallMeet targets is therefore not storage. It is retrieval across meetings that belong to the same project, with enough structure to know what is still pending.

The design in four layers
The described system separates structured application data from contextual memory, and adds a generation step and a feedback step on top. The table below maps each layer to the role the write-up gives it.

The architecture is listed as a UI, a backend, PostgreSQL, Hindsight, and an LLM. The write-up links a GitHub repository and a demo video, but it does not give setup steps, menu paths, or configuration commands, so the details below come from the description rather than from following an install guide.

- Remember. Meetings are attached to a project. Commitments and due dates go into structured records, and meaningful context from the meeting goes into Hindsight.
- Prepare. Before a later meeting, “Prepare Me” retrieves prior project history from memory and generates preparation tailored to that project.
- Feedback. The user says what the preparation missed or what it should stress next time.
- Learn. The feedback is intended to inform later preparation.
Step four is the part a reader should check most carefully. The write-up describes the intent, but it does not report a measured improvement in preparation quality across repeated use.

What Hindsight is documented to do
Hindsight is an open agent-memory project maintained by Vectorize. Its repository describes the project as “an agent memory system built to create smarter agents that learn over time,” and documents three operations: retain information, recall relevant memories, and reflect to generate a response. The repository also covers client libraries, an LLM wrapper, and self-hosted deployment. That description is the project’s own and should be read as such.

A 2026 ACL System Demonstrations paper, “Hindsight: Structured Agent Memory that Retains, Recalls, and Reflects,” gives the more formal account. It describes a retrieval pipeline that combines vector search, keyword matching, graph traversal, and temporal filtering, backed by PostgreSQL with pgvector. This tells you how Hindsight is designed to find memories. It does not show that RecallMeet retrieves the right commitments for a given project, and it does not test whether memory improves meeting outcomes.
The repository also makes benchmark comparisons against other memory systems. Those are vendor-reported claims. If you need a performance figure, use the named benchmark’s own publication, with its year and methodology, and treat any independent reproduction separately from the project’s numbers.

What is and is not established
- Established by the sources: the intended architecture; the separation between structured records and contextual memory; the retain, recall, and reflect operations; the retrieval methods in Hindsight’s pipeline; and the intended preparation and feedback loop.
- Not established: whether RecallMeet’s preparation is accurate or complete; whether users save time or walk into meetings better prepared; whether feedback changes later output in a measurable way; how the system performs with large meeting histories; and what controls exist for access, retention, and deletion of sensitive meeting data. The write-up does not address these.
If you are building something similar
- Keep commitments and due dates in a queryable table. Memory retrieval is good at surfacing context, but “what is overdue” is a structured question.
- Scope memory to a project. Without that boundary, retrieval can pull context from a different client into a brief.
- Store feedback in a form you can review later, so you can see whether preparation actually changed.
- If you self-host Hindsight, plan to run PostgreSQL with pgvector, since that is the backend the paper describes.
- Decide deletion and retention rules before you load real client meetings, not after.
- Evaluate on your own past meetings, with a fixed set of questions you already know the answers to, rather than relying on demonstrations.
