Schell Games identifies I Expect You To Die 2 and I Expect You To Die 3 as Steam Frame Verified. Separately, the studio’s update for the Steam version of I Expect You To Die 3 moves it to OpenXR and Unity 6. The update also changes how players recenter their view, with controls that depend on the headset.
Are I Expect You To Die 2 and I Expect You To Die 3 Steam Frame Verified?
Yes. Schell Games lists both games as Steam Frame Verified, and says the trilogy has received that status. The studio’s portfolio page also lists Steam (Steam Frame Verified) for I Expect You To Die 2. This is the developer’s compatibility designation; it does not, by itself, establish Steam Frame availability or specifications.

What the verification and update do—and do not—establish
The Steam Frame Verified status concerns the two games’ compatibility designation. The OpenXR and Unity 6 details concern the Steam release of I Expect You To Die 3. They are related news, but not the same claim: the update notes do not say that the standalone Quest build migrated to OpenXR or Unity 6, and they do not provide benchmark results.
