Its appeal is straightforward: a showcase-style case with a dual-chamber layout and broad cooling support, without a premium launch price. Whether it suits your build depends on component clearances, storage needs, and how much you value a clear view of the interior. The $99.99 figure is HYTE’s announced MSRP, not a verified current retail price; taxes, regional pricing, and availability can change the amount you pay.
What you get for the announced price
HYTE announced the Y50 RGB on June 2, 2026, at a U.S. MSRP of $99.99. The price is best understood alongside the included features, rather than as proof that it is the cheapest case in its category: the Y50 has three-piece tempered glass, a dual-chamber design, and four ARGB fans. Its included fans are a side-mounted 360 mm reverse-blade assembly and a rear 120 mm fan. HYTE lists their speed range as 200–1,500 RPM. (HYTE’s product announcement)

The panoramic glass makes the interior a visual feature, but it also makes cable routing and component appearance hard to hide. Tom’s Hardware’s August 25, 2026 hands-on report describes the glass as clear and says the case was comfortable to build in, with useful room around the motherboard tray and cable cut-outs. Those are reviewer observations, not standardized performance measurements. (Tom’s Hardware)
Will your components fit?
HYTE lists the case dimensions as 473 × 288 × 461 mm (L × W × H) and specifies support for traditional E-ATX, ATX, micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. It also names support for ASUS BTF, Gigabyte STEALTH, and MSI Project ZERO rear-connect motherboard platforms. PSU length is listed up to 250 mm with a traditional motherboard, or 225 mm with a rear-connect board. Confirm the exact motherboard and PSU combination before ordering, especially if using rear-facing connectors.

For graphics cards, the official announcement does not state a maximum length. ThinkComputers lists a 360 mm maximum GPU length and 170 mm width, while Tom’s Hardware reports clearance for GPUs up to 360 mm. Treat those as fit limits, not a guarantee for every card: verify your specific GPU’s dimensions and clearances against the case and other installed hardware. HYTE lists CPU cooler height up to 160 mm. (ThinkComputers; Tom’s Hardware)
Cooling mounts and included fans
HYTE’s listed fan and radiator support is generous for a case in this price position. The supported radiator lengths and thicknesses below are manufacturer specifications; check radiator, fan, motherboard, and memory clearances together for your intended configuration.

| Location | Fan support | Radiator support |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans | Up to 410 mm long and 46 mm thick |
| Side | Three 120 mm fans | Up to 410 mm long and 83 mm thick |
| Rear | One 120 mm fan | One 120 mm radiator |
| Bottom | Two 120 mm fans | Not stated by HYTE |
The four included fans mean you do not need to budget for extra fans simply to populate the included side and rear positions. The specification does not establish that an optional radiator or additional cooling hardware is necessary. Tom’s Hardware notes that the side fans use a unified reverse-blade unit, oriented to draw air in while presenting the fan face toward the glass. (HYTE; Tom’s Hardware)

Tom’s Hardware reports space behind the motherboard tray and clearance around cable cut-outs that helped with routing. It also found the combined front-panel I/O connector block easier to install than separate small header plugs. These details matter in a glass-sided showcase, where untidy cabling remains visible. Individual build results will still depend on the board, power supply, and cable lengths you use.

What the available reviews establish about performance
Tom’s Hardware provides hands-on build observations and fit details. ThinkComputers says its August 25, 2026 review includes thermal and acoustic testing, but the available review text does not include the detailed results. That means specific temperatures, noise readings, or comparative performance conclusions cannot be established here. The case’s radiator and fan support describes compatibility, not measured cooling performance.

Who should consider the Y50 RGB?
- It is a good fit to investigate if you want a panoramic glass presentation, appreciate the dual-chamber layout, and can confirm your GPU, cooler, PSU, motherboard, and radiator clearances.
- Look elsewhere or compare carefully if your priorities are a hidden interior, a specific storage arrangement, or a proven thermal or acoustic advantage. The available testing information does not establish that the Y50 leads competitors on temperatures or noise.
- Compare total build cost rather than MSRP alone. Include any cooling hardware you independently choose to add, and check current seller, color, availability, and price; the announced MSRP is not a live offer.
HYTE announced five colors: Snow White, Pitch Black, Black Cherry, Strawberry Milk, and Taro Milk. Color availability may differ by retailer or region. (HYTE)
