HWiNFO’s upcoming version 8.55, build 6095, reportedly adds an entry for “Panter Lake-H 080.” Leaker Jaykihn identifies the part as Intel’s unannounced PTL-080, a lower-end Arc G handheld processor with eight Efficient CPU cores and four Xe3 graphics cores. That suggests a cheaper Panther Lake gaming-handheld option, but Intel has not confirmed the chip, its specifications or any device using it.
What HWiNFO reportedly added
The processor name appears in the change log for the upcoming HWiNFO 8.55 build 6095, according to VideoCardz’s report. The spelling shown in that reported entry is “Panter Lake-H 080”; “Panther Lake-H 080” is the normalized form used when referring to the same rumored part.

HWiNFO support means the hardware-monitoring software has added recognition data. It does not establish that Intel has approved the design, that an OEM has ordered it, or that a retail handheld will ship. HWiNFO previously documented Panther Lake monitoring work in its version 8.54 notes, including the fix: “Fixed reporting of PCH power on Intel Panther Lake and later.”

Jaykihn describes PTL-080 as a 0+8+0+4 design:
| Component | Leaked count |
|---|---|
| Performance cores | 0 |
| Efficient cores | 8 |
| Low-power Efficient cores | 0 |
| Xe3 GPU cores | 4 |
In other words, the rumored chip has eight E-cores and four Xe3 GPU cores, with no P-cores or LP-E cores. The “Arc G” designation places it in the same general handheld graphics family as Intel’s announced Arc G3 products, but the lower core count would target a different performance and cost segment.

Could it replace the earlier four-core proposal?
The four-Xe3-core part may replace an earlier rumored 4+0+4+4 configuration. That design was described in August 2026 as “Panther Lake 4+0+4+4 handheld,” meaning four Performance cores, four low-power Efficient cores and four Xe GPU cores. The newer report says Intel had not finalized the choice as of October 16, 2026.
Both configurations remain leaks. The 4+0+4+4 proposal could be dropped, the 0+8+0+4 design could be dropped, or neither may reach production. HWiNFO’s recognition entry cannot distinguish among those outcomes.

How it compares with confirmed Arc G3 processors
Intel’s officially announced Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme processors are substantially larger designs than PTL-080’s reported configuration. Tom’s Hardware reports that both confirmed chips contain 14 CPU cores—two P-cores, eight E-cores and four LP-E cores. Their graphics differ: Arc G3 uses Arc B370 with 10 Xe3 cores, while Arc G3 Extreme uses Arc B390 with 12 Xe3 cores. Both have a configurable 8–35 W TDP range.

The table shows what is and is not established. Only the lower-end designs’ rumored topology and four-core graphics count are available; their clocks, memory support, power behavior and performance have not been published. The confirmed G3 parts’ 8–35 W figure is a configurable range reported for those products and should not be applied to PTL-080.

What is still unknown
- No Intel product announcement confirms PTL-080.
- No price, launch date, OEM model or shipping handheld has been identified.
- Power limits, clock speeds, memory support and chassis requirements are not stated.
- There are no verified benchmarks or battery-life results for either leaked four-Xe3-core design.
If Intel eventually announces a four-Xe3-core Arc G processor, the useful evaluation points will be its CPU topology, configurable TDP, memory configuration, clock speeds, cooling requirements, battery capacity in each handheld and retail price. Those details determine whether the smaller graphics engine delivers an attractive low-cost system or simply too little performance for modern games.
What the HWiNFO entry means for buyers
For now, it is evidence that software support work is tracking a possible Panther Lake SKU—not evidence that a cheaper Intel gaming handheld is on sale or scheduled. Buyers should treat PTL-080 and the older 4+0+4+4 design as possibilities until Intel publishes a specification and a manufacturer reveals an actual device.

The Bottom Line
HWiNFO reportedly recognizes Intel PTL-080, a leaked 0+8+0+4 Panther Lake handheld processor with four Xe3 GPU cores. It could become a cheaper Arc G option, but Intel has not confirmed the design, its power or price, or any handheld using it.
