When does Hubert come out?
Brocap Studio announced on August 18, 2026 that Hubert would be available on PS5 and Steam in October. Steam now gives the PC version a planned release date of October 12, 2026, but the US PlayStation Store listing still says “Release date to be determined.” October 12 is therefore a Steam date, not a confirmed PS5 launch date. Steam lists the PC release; the US PlayStation Store page has not set its date. Brocap Studio’s August announcement gives the October window for both platforms.

What kind of game is Hubert?
Hubert is a single-player, third-person adventure from the perspective of Hubert, a working shepherd dog. Its main activities include guiding sheep, following scents, exploring northern wilderness and protecting the flock. Steam’s description also introduces Lily, a child who works with Hubert, and presents their developing bond alongside the dangers and discoveries beyond the farm. The game is being developed and published by Brocap Studio s.r.o., a small independent studio from the Czech Republic whose announcements identify its team as based in Brno. The studio’s wording is that the game “will be available on PS5 and Steam.” The platform listings do not yet establish matching dates or identical features, so check the relevant store page for updates before launch.

Can you play the Hubert demo?
Yes. The free Steam demo has been available since February 2, 2026. On the demo’s Steam page, 87% of 173 all-time reviews were positive as observed on October 5, 2026. That is a changing snapshot of opinions about the demo, not a score for the unreleased full game. Get the Hubert Demo on Steam.
How long is Hubert, and what does it need on PC?
Brocap Studio estimated on March 2, 2026 that a typical playthrough would take about three hours and completionist play about five. Those are the developer’s estimates, not independently measured playtimes. The studio said it was “focusing on high-fidelity polish over ‘endless hours.’” The March announcement contains the estimates and the studio’s description of its approach.

What is not known yet?
The full game has not been released, so there is no established independent review of its finished version. Steam’s October 12 date is still labeled planned, and the US PlayStation Store has not published a date. Treat the demo’s review snapshot and the developer’s playtime estimate as distinct from a verdict on the full release.
