The camera is Huawei’s Ruiying Z10 modular camera, a separate imaging accessory that attaches to specific Mate 90 editions using the company’s HyperClick mount. Huawei lists a one-inch, 50MP sensor and a retractable 24–240 mm-equivalent zoom lens. A reported 5,999-yuan starting price is for the camera, but the report did not establish whether it is sold on its own or only in a kit.
What the Ruiying Z10 is—and how it attaches
The Ruiying Z10 is not simply a clip-on lens for a phone’s existing camera. Huawei describes it as a modular camera with its own sensor and powered zoom lens. It attaches to a compatible phone through Huawei’s HyperClick mount; Huawei says captured material can be shared to the phone and promoted features integrate with its gallery and editing ecosystem. Those workflow and image-quality descriptions are Huawei’s claims, not independent comparative test results. Huawei’s product page

PC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute| Feature | Huawei-listed specification |
|---|---|
| Sensor | One-inch stacked CMOS |
| Resolution | 50MP effective pixels |
| Zoom and focal length | Continuous 10× optical zoom; 24–240 mm equivalent |
| Maximum aperture | F2.0 at the wide end to F4.5 at telephoto |
| Focus | AF-C, AF-S and manual focus |
| Photo format | RAW DNG support |
| Video | 4K, 1080p and 720p; listed frame rates reach 60 fps for supported modes |
| Weight | Approximately 346 g |
| Filter diameter | 77 mm |
The 24–240 mm range describes the lens’s 35mm-equivalent field of view, not a promise that the accessory will outperform a phone camera. The camera’s carrying weight and need for a compatible handset are practical trade-offs; the listed focal range alone does not establish real-world image quality.

|---|---|---|
| 5,999 yuan (approximately $895) | Android Authority reported this as the Z10 camera’s starting price on October 1, 2026. The dollar amount is the report’s approximate conversion. Android Authority’s launch report | The report said it was unclear whether the camera was available separately or only in a kit. |
| 19,499 yuan | Huawei’s 2026 China purchase guide lists a Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition 16GB/1TB bundled with the Ruiying Z10 camera. This is a phone-and-camera bundle, not the camera-only price. Huawei’s purchase guide | Huawei cautions that final transaction prices and channel availability may vary. |
The bundle price is high because it includes the phone; it does not tell buyers what they would pay for the camera alone. Huawei’s guide says the Mate 90 series went on sale in China on October 1, 2026, through Huawei Mall, Huawei’s official Tmall store, authorized experience stores and Huawei Smart Life stores. These are China launch channels, not evidence of current stock everywhere.
Is the Ruiying Z10 available outside China?
Android Authority reported on October 1, 2026 that Huawei had no plans at that time to launch Mate 90 phones outside China. The reviewed sources establish China sales channels, but do not establish current international distribution for the camera, standalone availability, or Amazon stock. Availability can change, so buyers outside China should verify both the accessory’s sales channel and support for their exact phone edition before making plans around a purchase.

What to check before buying
- Phone edition: Confirm that the handset is the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition or Mate 90 RS | ULTIMATE DESIGN, rather than assuming all Mate 90 models fit.
- What the listing includes: Distinguish the reported camera starting price from Huawei’s phone-and-camera bundle; standalone sales were not confirmed in the cited report.
- Availability: Check the seller’s region, stock and return terms. China launch channels do not confirm international distribution.
- Practical use: Consider the approximately 346 g camera, plus the extra module to carry and attach, against the benefit of a dedicated sensor and a 24–240 mm-equivalent zoom range.
- Image-quality expectations: Treat Huawei’s quality language as a manufacturer claim; the cited sources do not provide independent comparative image tests.
