Its reported patterned Kunlun-glass back and polished titanium frame give the phone a distinctive materials story, but the claim that it “costs as much as the iPhone Duo” is not established by comparable prices. International pricing and availability are also unconfirmed in the available coverage.
What is reported about the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design?
FOLOU reported on October 1, 2026, that Huawei’s Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design starts at 12,999 yuan in China for the 16GB RAM/512GB configuration. That is a reported China-market starting price, not a confirmed official price for other countries. The report describes red, white and black finishes, a patterned Kunlun-glass rear surface and a polished titanium frame. Calling the phone a “design showstopper” is an editorial judgment; those materials and colors are the concrete details behind the description. FOLOU’s report discloses that its content was AI-generated and edited, so its product details should be treated as media-reported rather than official specifications.

What specifications have been reported?
FOLOU also lists a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display, a 6,800mAh battery, and a 200MP telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. These are reported specifications, not independently confirmed here through Huawei product documentation. The source does not establish how the phone performs in real-world use, so figures alone cannot answer questions about battery life, camera quality or display visibility.
Does the Mate 90 RS cost as much as the iPhone Duo?
That comparison appears as headline wording attributed to Digital Trends in a surfaced report, but the cited coverage does not provide an iPhone Duo price alongside the Mate 90 RS price to demonstrate a like-for-like match. The available evidence therefore supports neither a verified price equivalence nor a direct value comparison. A fair comparison would require prices for the same storage tier in the same market and currency; those figures are not established in the coverage available here. Digital Trends’ surfaced comparison is the source of the headline claim, not proof that the prices match.

Where is it available?
FOLOU says China sales began on October 1, 2026, and that overseas launch information was not available when it published its report. No international price, local warranty coverage, or market-specific availability is established by that account. Buyers outside China should verify an official local launch and warranty before treating an imported handset as a supported local purchase.
What should buyers check before comparing or importing it?
- Price basis: Compare the same storage configuration and local-market price, including any import charges, rather than matching a China figure to an unspecified iPhone price.
- Regional support: Confirm launch status, warranty service and supported mobile bands for the country where the phone will be used.
- Software and apps: Check that the software and applications you rely on are compatible with the specific regional version.
- Hardware priorities: Treat the listed display, battery and camera figures as reported specifications until official documentation is available, and decide whether the reported materials matter to you.
The coverage available does not provide enough verified, matching information for a complete Mate 90 RS-versus-iPhone Duo verdict. Its strongest supported points are a reported China starting price and a distinctive reported materials combination—not a proven price tie or an established global launch.
