Huawei’s FreeBuds Neo makes a swipe gesture the default way to adjust volume, alongside tap and hold controls for playback, calls and noise control. Huawei lists a starting price of ¥699 on its China product page; separately reported launch offers were lower and should not be mistaken for a universal or ongoing price.
How the FreeBuds Neo swipe controls work
Huawei’s documented default controls assign volume adjustment to a light swipe on an earbud. Other gestures cover playback, calls and noise control:

- Swipe: raise or lower volume.
- Double-tap: play or pause audio; answer or end a call.
- Triple-tap: skip to the next track.
- Touch and hold: switch noise-control settings or reject a call.
Some actions can be changed in settings. Huawei says optional configurations include track controls and choices involving the assistant or game mode, so the defaults are not the only possible setup. Huawei UK uses the English gesture labels “Double-tap,” “Triple-tap,” “Swipe” and “Touch-and-hold.”
Huawei says the touch-control area covers 60% of each earbud’s area. That is the company’s product-page description, not an independently measured result.
