HPE will return as a Worldwide Supplier for the 2027 Ryder Cup, with plans to provide a Wi-Fi 7 Self-Driving Network and expand the event’s Connected Intelligence Center. CDW has a separate role as Official IT Services Supplier and prime partner for delivering the broader event IT infrastructure, including deployment and management of HPE’s network.
What HPE is planning to provide
HPE’s October 5, 2026 announcement describes two main parts of its planned contribution: connectivity across the venue and an expanded operational intelligence center. These are plans for the 2027 event, not independently verified results from a network that has already been deployed.

A Wi-Fi 7 network across the venue
HPE says its Self-Driving Network will use Wi-Fi 7 to connect fans, volunteers, media, staff, systems and devices across the golf course, grandstands, hospitality venues, media compounds and operations centers. The announcement describes a planned footprint spanning 230 acres and says the network will monitor and adapt user experiences in real time. It does not provide a final equipment configuration or independent performance results.

An expanded Connected Intelligence Center
HPE also plans to expand the Connected Intelligence Center it first introduced at the 2025 Ryder Cup. The center is described as bringing data, AI models and tools into a unified operational view to support monitoring, issue detection and faster decisions. HPE’s announcement frames more agentic or autonomous operations as an ambition; it does not establish that autonomous interventions will be achieved at Adare Manor.

How HPE’s role differs from CDW’s
HPE is the returning Worldwide Supplier and the announced technology contributor for the network and intelligence center. CDW, separately named Official IT Services Supplier, has prime responsibility for the wider event IT infrastructure platform. Its stated remit spans design, build, live operations and decommissioning, including deployment and management of HPE’s wired and Wi-Fi 7 network.

When and where is the 2027 Ryder Cup?
The centenary staging of the biennial contest is scheduled for September 13–19, 2027, at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland. The official schedule separates four build-up days, September 13–16, from the three days of competition, September 17–19. The Ryder Cup site identifies Ryder Cup Travel Services as the official provider of ticket-inclusive packages; availability and terms may change.
How large is the planned event footprint?
In its October 5, 2026 announcement, HPE describes a network footprint across a 230-acre golf course. The same announcement gives expected on-site attendance of more than 250,000 fans and stated worldwide reach of more than 650 million viewers. These are announced scale and audience figures, not completed 2027 attendance or audited event results.

Ryder Cup Europe’s October 2025 date announcement calls the 2027 contest the competition’s 100th anniversary. HPE’s stated aim is to help deliver connectivity and intelligence for the event and create a foundation for future editions; whether the planned systems meet those goals can only be judged after deployment and operation.
