Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 14-ef2024TU is listed with an Intel Core i7-1355U, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 13.5-inch, 1920 × 1280 display. CHOICE’s Australian product page marks it as discontinued and lists AU$2,999, but that page does not establish today’s price or whether a retailer still has stock. Its public page also withholds its expert rating and test results, so this is a specification-based review—not a verdict on measured speed, battery life or screen quality.
What configuration does the 14-ef2024TU listing confirm?
CHOICE’s Australian listing identifies this specific regional SKU as a Windows 11 Home convertible. Its published configuration is:

- Intel Core i7-1355U processor
- 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD
- Intel Iris Xe graphics
- 13.5-inch display with 1920 × 1280 resolution
- Wi-Fi 6E
- 1.4 kg listed laptop weight
These are the published specifications for the 14-ef2024TU, not hands-on test findings. The listing does not establish how quickly it performs in demanding workloads, how long it lasts away from an outlet, or how bright, color-accurate or reflective its screen is. CHOICE’s exact-model page keeps the Australian SKU identifiable.
How should you interpret the price and discontinued status?
CHOICE lists AU$2,999 and labels the model “Discontinued model.” The accessible page does not state the year for that price, so it should be treated as the page’s listed figure—not a current market price. Discontinued status in CHOICE’s Australian database does not prove that the laptop is unavailable everywhere; any live offer needs to be checked for region, condition and exact model number.

If you find a listing for “HP Spectre x360 14-ef2024TU,” verify that its full model identifier and specifications match the Australian configuration above. Check whether the machine is new, used or refurbished, and confirm the seller’s warranty and return terms before comparing the asking price.
What the model number does—and does not—tell you
HP’s support page covers the broader 14-ef2000 family and gives March 2023 as the family’s release date. It lists both i5-1335U and i7-1355U processor options, as well as 13.5-inch WUXGA+ display options, and describes two USB4/Thunderbolt Type-C ports, one USB-A port and a headphone/microphone combo port. HP warns that specifications vary by country or region. These are family-level details, not confirmation that every configuration or port feature applies identically to the 14-ef2024TU. HP’s 14-ef2000 family specifications are useful context, but the exact-model listing should take precedence for this SKU.

A separate HP datasheet describes the 14-ef2000nx, a different regional configuration. That document specifies a 13.5-inch 3K2K OLED touchscreen, 3:2 aspect ratio, 66 Wh battery, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, microSD reader and an included HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen. Those details must not be transferred to the 14-ef2024TU: CHOICE lists the TU screen as 1920 × 1280 and does not confirm the nx battery, OLED panel, microSD reader or included pen.
HP’s nx datasheet estimates “up to 13 hours and 30 minutes” under MobileMark 18. That is a manufacturer estimate for the related nx configuration, not independent battery testing or a battery-life figure for the TU. HP also says battery life varies with configuration, workload, settings, wireless use and battery aging. HP’s 14-ef2000nx datasheet should therefore be used only when identifying that separate configuration.

What can be concluded about everyday use?
On paper, the confirmed combination of a Core i7-1355U, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD gives this configuration a clear mainstream productivity profile. The convertible design and 1.4 kg listed weight may matter to people choosing a laptop they expect to carry and use in more than one position. Those points describe the published configuration; they do not establish real-world responsiveness, comfort in tablet mode, display quality or battery endurance.
CHOICE’s public exact-model page does not expose its expert rating, numerical test scores or tester comments. Without those results, there is no supported basis here for assigning a review score or claiming measured performance, battery life or display quality. HP’s promotional sentence for the separate nx SKU—“The 360° design rotates for the perfect position, while the dynamic camera features let you look your best live.”—is manufacturer marketing language, not an independent assessment of the TU.

How to compare it with another convertible
Compare the full regional SKU rather than relying on a family name: similarly named 14-ef2000 models can differ by screen and other configuration details. A useful comparison checks:
- Exact model number and region
- Display resolution and technology, not just screen size
- Processor, memory and storage
- Weight and confirmed ports
- Independently measured battery life under comparable test conditions
- Warranty, condition and current local price and availability
The public sources support a specification comparison, but not a test-based ranking against competing laptops. For claims about endurance, display performance or speed, look for accessible independent measurements of the exact configuration and comparable test methods.
