The HP Smart Tank 7301 is a print/scan/copy all-in-one with an automatic document feeder, duplex printing and wireless connectivity. For the documented US model, HP lists a 35-sheet ADF, up to 15 pages per minute for black ISO A4 printing, and a recommended monthly volume of 400–800 pages. Those are manufacturer specifications—not independent test results—so they describe intended capability, not verified real-world speed or print quality.
What the HP Smart Tank 7301 offers
HP’s US specification listing describes the 7301 as an all-in-one for printing, scanning and copying. It includes a flatbed scanner and an ADF, supports duplex printing and has wireless functions. HP specifies optical scan resolution up to 1200 dpi. These figures and features come from the manufacturer; they do not establish how quickly or well the printer performs in everyday use. Rated speed and workload guidance
HP rates black ISO A4 printing at up to 15 pages per minute. Its recommended monthly volume is 400 to 800 pages. HP also lists a maximum monthly duty cycle of 5,000 pages, while cautioning that this maximum is not a recommended ongoing workload. The recommended range is the more useful figure for judging whether the model suits a typical monthly printing volume.
Paper handling and scanning
The ADF holds 35 sheets, which can help when copying or scanning multi-page documents. The scanner is a flatbed plus ADF, and HP specifies optical scan resolution up to 1200 dpi. The specifications do not establish scan speed or the quality of resulting scans.

Yes. HP lists duplex printing as a feature of the US 7301. The specification confirms duplex capability but does not establish real-world print speed when using it.
What ink does the HP Smart Tank 7301 use?
For the US 7301 listing, HP names HP 32XL black and HP 31 cyan, magenta and yellow Original Ink Bottles as box contents. Check the bottle labels and compatibility for your exact regional model before buying replacements; the supplied-ink list is tied to the documented US listing. HP Smart Tank 7301 specifications

How do the Smart Tank 6001, 7001 and 7301 compare?
HP has separate US support specification listings for the 6001 and 7001. Those listings identify the HP 32XL black and HP 31 color bottle family; the 7001 result also identifies black and tri-color printheads among supplied items. The available specifications do not provide a complete, matched-region comparison of all three models or establish that regional SKUs are equivalent. Do not infer that the models differ—or are interchangeable—from their model numbers alone. A reliable comparison requires specification sheets for the exact regional SKUs. Check these items side by side before deciding:

What this review can—and cannot—establish
The documented specifications make the 7301 a feature-rich option for home or small-office printing that benefits from an ADF and duplex capability. But manufacturer specifications alone cannot establish its real-world output quality, throughput, reliability, setup experience, ink yield or cost per page. No independent test results are available in the cited material, so those should not be treated as proven strengths or weaknesses.
