For a concrete performance reference, PCWorld’s 2025 review tested an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 model with 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD, and a 14-inch 2880×1800 OLED display. Its results suggest strong productivity potential, but not standout integrated graphics or assured all-day battery life. Whether it is a good buy depends on the exact panel, processor, and sale price—and on whether you will use its 360-degree hinge.
Which OmniBook X Flip 14 is this review about?
HP uses OmniBook X Flip 14 for a product family whose processors, screens, memory, storage, and regional availability vary. HP’s support page for the 14-fk0000 series identifies a March 2025 release and lists AMD Ryzen AI 7 H 350 or Ryzen AI 5 H 340 options, both with 50 TOPS NPUs, plus a 14-inch 1920×1200 multitouch IPS option. HP cautions that configurations vary by country and custom build, so those details are not a universal specification for every X Flip 14. HP’s 14-fk0000 series specifications

Published reviews cover notably different machines. The clearest midrange reference here is PCWorld’s 2025 test unit: AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 14-inch 2880×1800 OLED, and a 59Wh battery. It also lists Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The review’s performance and battery findings apply to that system and its testing—not automatically to an IPS version or another processor generation. PCWorld’s 2025 review

How well does it perform?
On PCWorld’s 2025 Ryzen AI 7 350 model, the CPU handled productivity workloads capably, while its integrated graphics lagged some rivals. That makes the configuration a more natural fit for office work, study, browsing, and media than for demanding graphics workloads. These are reviewer findings on one configuration; they do not establish how every X Flip 14 performs, and integrated graphics are not a substitute for checking the requirements of a particular game or creative app.
Other results should stay attached to their tested systems. Tom’s Guide reported Geekbench 6 scores of 2,559 single-core and 9,940 multi-core for its Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, 16GB configuration. PCWorld reported a PCMark 10 score of 8,226 for its 2026 Ryzen AI 9 465, 32GB configuration. Since the processors, memory, and tests differ, these figures are useful as individual review results, not as a direct head-to-head ranking. Tom’s Guide test results · PCWorld test results
What are the display and convertible design like?
The 360-degree hinge lets the screen fold back for tablet and tent orientations, in addition to the usual laptop position. That flexibility is the main reason to choose a Flip over a conventional clamshell: it can suit touch use, presenting, or reading in ways a standard laptop cannot. If you expect to use it only on a desk with the screen upright, a clamshell may offer better value for your needs.

Screen choice matters as much as the hinge. The family includes IPS and OLED examples, and resolutions and refresh rates vary: the cited systems range from 1920×1200 IPS to 2880×1800 OLED, while the later PCWorld unit used a 1920×1200 60Hz OLED and offered a higher-resolution, 120Hz OLED option. Do not assume a particular panel from the product name alone; verify the retailer’s exact configuration before buying. Tom’s Guide praised the durable build and premium metal feel of its tested model, but that assessment should not be treated as a measurement of every regional version. Tom’s Guide’s review
How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends on the configuration and review test. Tom’s Guide recorded 8 hours 32 minutes for its Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, 16GB IPS model. PCWorld’s 2025 Ryzen AI 7 350 review found its tested system fell short of 11 hours in that publication’s battery test. Those are results from different laptops and methods; neither is a promise of runtime for your workload. Expect factors such as screen type, brightness, and how you use the laptop to matter, and look for a test of the exact configuration if battery endurance is a priority. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is it worth the price?
There is no single fair price verdict for the family: published figures refer to different dates, configurations, and review contexts, not verified current offers. Tom’s Guide’s February 2026 review referenced $599; PCWorld’s July 2025 review cited a $1,099 Best Buy starting configuration; WIRED listed $1,130 at HP and $900 at Best Buy on its 2025 page; and Tom’s Hardware’s 2026 review gave a $1,399.99 starting price and $2,599.99 for its tested configuration. These observations cannot be compared as though they were the same SKU or current prices. Check local listings for the exact model before deciding. Reviewers’ judgments also reflect what they value: Tom’s Guide praised the build of its unit, while WIRED considered its full-price version insufficient value for some buyers prioritizing graphics-heavy work or all-day battery life. That is a reminder to match the machine to your workload and price, rather than treating a review score or family name as a universal recommendation.
What to check before buying
- Exact model and processor: Confirm the generation and chip in the listing; reviews cover Intel Core Ultra and multiple AMD Ryzen AI options.
- Memory and storage: Match the amount to your workload and budget rather than assuming all configurations resemble a reviewed unit.
- Panel: Verify IPS or OLED, resolution, and refresh rate. The family’s options differ.
- Real local price: Compare the current price of the exact SKU, not an older review’s starting price or a differently configured model.
- Use for the hinge: If tablet or tent mode will rarely matter, compare a clamshell at the same price.
- Graphics and battery needs: For demanding graphics work or long unplugged days, seek results for the exact configuration and compare suitable alternatives.
If you are weighing a similarly priced Lenovo Yoga, compare same-period prices and as-close-as-possible configurations. Look at processor generation, graphics, panel, battery-test method, weight, ports, and whether the convertible modes are useful to you. The available review references do not establish normalized current prices or equivalent Yoga configurations, so they cannot support a blanket claim that one brand is the better buy.
