A strong YouTube sponsorship email makes three things clear: why this brand fits your audience, what you could create together, and how the brand can take the next step. Keep it concise, use accurate channel data, and pitch a specific idea rather than asking vaguely for a sponsorship.
Before you pitch: choose a brand that fits
Start with brands whose products you can discuss honestly and that your viewers are likely to find relevant. Identify a real connection between the product, your channel’s subject, and the audience—not just a company you recognize. YouTube recommends pursuing brands you believe in and expect your audience to like, and says it is acceptable to decline an offer that is a poor fit. YouTube’s brand-deal guidance also recommends explaining why you like the brand or product and offering collaboration ideas.

Before writing, note one specific product, feature, or campaign detail that gives you a sincere reason to contact the company. If you cannot explain the connection in a sentence, the pitch may not be ready.

YouTube lists several routes for reaching out. Choose the one most likely to put a personalized message in front of someone who handles marketing or partnerships.
#1 Best Overall
- Brand website: Use its contact form or partnership contact when available. Address the message to a named person if the company provides one.
- LinkedIn: Look for a relevant marketing or partnerships decision-maker. Keep the initial message professional and brief.
- X: You can contact the brand through its account, though a public social post is not a substitute for a private pitch containing your proposal and evidence.
- YouTube Creator Partnerships: Eligible creators can review and use this program as another route for advertiser discovery. Eligibility applies; it is not a guarantee of a deal.
YouTube says Creator Partnerships deals are negotiated off-platform. YouTube is not responsible for those deal terms or advertiser payment, and it does not pay creators for participation in those deals. See YouTube’s brand-deal guidance for outreach and program information.
What to include in the email
1. A clear, honest subject line
Name your channel and the proposed partnership, and mention the brand or campaign if you know it. For example: Partnership idea for [Brand] and [Channel]. Do not imply that you already have a relationship with the brand.
2. A personal opening
Address a person by name when you can identify the right contact. Mention the product or brand detail that makes the pitch relevant, and explain why you genuinely think it could interest your viewers.

Say what your channel covers and who watches it. Then connect that audience to the brand’s likely customers or campaign goal. The point is not to claim every viewer will buy; it is to help the recipient understand why the match makes sense.

4. A few current, relevant data points
Use accurate figures from your current YouTube analytics or media kit. YouTube suggests measures such as active subscribers, views, unique viewers, watch minutes, and typical retention; audience demographics can also help a brand assess fit. Include a clear time period for performance figures, and choose only the indicators that support this particular pitch. Do not send a long list of unrelated metrics or imply that past performance guarantees future results.
5. One concrete collaboration idea
Suggest a video or integration that suits your usual format and gives viewers a reason to care. Describe briefly how the product could appear naturally in the content. Treat it as a starting point for discussion, not a promise of unverified reach, sales, or results. YouTube recommends offering possible collaboration ideas and describes product integrations as fitting the video and channel brand.
6. An easy next step and proof
Invite the contact to discuss campaign goals, timing, and possible deliverables, or to schedule a short call. Link your channel and, if useful, a media kit. Add straightforward contact details so the recipient knows how to respond.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUse YouTube’s Media Kit if it suits your needs
YouTube’s Media Kit feature is available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program and is accessed through YouTube Studio on desktop. It can include your channel banner and bio, top audience and shopping categories, key channel statistics and demographics, branded campaign videos, and top videos. You can customize or hide some report cards before sharing, so review the finished kit and make sure you are comfortable with the information it contains. See YouTube’s brand-deal guidance and its Media Kit information.
You do not need to assume that a paid third-party kit is required. If you are not eligible for YouTube’s feature, a clearly organized document or page with accurate, relevant information can still support your pitch; do not include data you are uncomfortable sharing.

This is a starting structure, not a formula that guarantees a response. YouTube’s reviewed guidance does not set a universal minimum channel size, standard sponsorship fee, or email reply rate. It also does not prescribe whether to include a rate in the first message; if scope is unclear, it can be more useful to discuss the brief before quoting.
If a brand replies, clarify the deal before agreeing
Make sure you understand what the brand expects and what you are authorizing. Confirm the terms directly with the brand and get required agreements in writing.
- Deliverables: Video format, number of integrations, placement, and any required mentions or links.
- Schedule: Draft, review, and publication dates, plus any expectations about revisions or approval.
- Payment: Amount, payment timing, and any conditions tied to delivery.
- Usage and exclusivity: Where and how the brand may reuse your content, for how long, and whether restrictions affect work with other brands.
- Platform access: Whether the brand is asking for YouTube brand partner access, and what data access and promotional permissions that entails.
YouTube says brand partner access can let the brand view organic and paid performance metrics and can enable it to boost the video. It also shares viewer demographics, watch time, retention, engagement, and performance data. Understand the implications and discuss usage rights before consenting; YouTube advises creators to handle rights and required agreements independently. See YouTube’s explanation of brand partner access.

Disclose sponsored content and check the rules
YouTube defines branded content broadly: it includes content influenced by a brand partner in exchange for value, including payment, free products, or sponsorship. Declare branded content using the paid promotion setting in YouTube Studio. You remain responsible for making the disclosure clear and prominent and for following the laws that apply to you and your audience; local requirements may differ.
Some categories are prohibited, while some restricted categories may require certification, age restrictions, or geographic restrictions. Check the current YouTube Branded Content Policies and applicable rules before publishing.

Or let it run in the cloud
If your channel also needs an uploaded-video stream to stay live on YouTube, StreamNeo is a separate option from sponsorship outreach: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start your free first day.
