To watch a particular WNBA game, check the official schedule first: the broadcaster and your location determine whether you can stream it live. In the U.S., WNBA League Pass is mainly for out-of-market games and replays; national and local broadcast rights can block live access. Confirm the game’s channel and your ZIP-code blackout status before subscribing.
Find the service carrying the game
The WNBA’s 2026 national schedule assigns games across broadcast networks and streaming services. These are game-specific rights, not a single service that carries every matchup. The league announced 216 nationally distributed games out of 330 regular-season games. See the WNBA’s 2026 national broadcast schedule and check the listing for the matchup you want.

| 2026 distributor | Games or allocation stated in the WNBA announcement |
|---|---|
| ABC and ESPN | 30 games and tentpole events for Disney networks: 13 on ABC and 17 on ESPN. |
| NBC | 7 games. |
| Peacock and NBCSN | 15 games in the schedule summary. The announcement separately describes Peacock streaming 12 Monday matchups, three weekend games, and every Finals game; check the specific listing. |
| Prime Video | 30 regular-season games, plus the Commissioner’s Cup championship game. |
| CBS and Paramount+ | 20 broadcasts. |
| ION | 50 games. |
| USA Network | 48 games. |
| NBA TV | 15 games. |
These figures describe the 2026 season announcement, not a permanent annual lineup. A schedule entry may refer to a TV network, a streaming service, or both. Check the listing for the exact game, then confirm that you can access the named broadcaster through your TV provider or subscription.

When League Pass is the right choice
League Pass is useful for out-of-market live games and on-demand viewing, but it does not guarantee live access to every matchup in the U.S. or Canada. National exclusions and local blackouts apply. The WNBA’s 2026 schedule describes the service as offering select live games and next-day access to every matchup; the game listing and your market’s restrictions determine what is actually available.

How blackouts work in the U.S. and Canada
Blackouts reflect exclusive local and national broadcast rights. In the U.S., League Pass live exclusions include nationally televised games and games carried locally for the viewer’s WNBA team or teams. The WNBA’s August 2026 help page names ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and Amazon Prime Video among national exclusions. Its separate FAQ also lists CBS Sports Network and NBA TV, so treat neither list as exhaustive; use the current schedule and blackout lookup for the game you want.
Restrictions depend on your current location. The WNBA says it determines location using a device’s IP address or enabled location services; in the U.S., a ZIP code identifies the local teams covered. If you move, the applicable local restrictions may change. The league may update provider and excluded-game lists. Review the current WNBA blackout guidance and use the ZIP-code lookup on the packages page before paying.

If League Pass blocks a live game, check the WNBA schedule for its local station, regional sports network, or national distributor. A subscription to the listed network or service may be required. For Canada, the WNBA’s blackout help page names TSN, Sportsnet (SN), CTV, and CTV2 for nationally carried games; check the Canadian listing and rules rather than assuming U.S. coverage applies.
Overlapping games and ION
When Friday games overlap, one may air nationally on ION while another is distributed in local U.S. markets. The WNBA says local access may be through a digital antenna or selected pay-TV providers. Check the WNBA FAQ, local listings, and ION’s ZIP-code lookup and current platform list. An antenna helps only if the relevant local station carries the game and its signal is receivable at your location; it does not override League Pass restrictions.
