You can watch Netflix while traveling, but Netflix does not guarantee that a UK account will show the UK catalogue in the United States or another country. Each country has its own catalogue, and using a VPN is not a reliable way to unlock UK titles. For a temporary trip, follow Netflix’s “I’m Traveling” or “Watch Temporarily” verification prompt if it appears. If you have moved permanently and need to change your account country, Netflix says to cancel, wait for the membership to end, then restart it while you are in the new country.
What changes when you watch Netflix outside the UK?
Your account country and the country where you are watching are related but separate. Netflix says each country has its own catalogue because title availability depends on licensing. A UK account therefore does not guarantee access to the UK catalogue when you are in the United States or elsewhere. Check the Netflix catalogue available in the place you are actually watching; availability of a specific title can change. Netflix: TV shows and movies available on Netflix

For temporary travel, you usually do not need to change your account country. If Netflix asks you to verify that a device outside your Household is authorized, use its temporary travel flow. A permanent move is different: changing the account country requires Netflix’s relocation process.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

If you see “Your TV/device isn’t part of the Netflix Household,” use the option shown for your device. Netflix’s instructions are “I’m Traveling” on a TV and “Watch Temporarily” on a phone or computer. You may need the account owner to retrieve a temporary code from the account email or phone and enter it on the device. The four-digit code expires after 15 minutes. Eligibility and prompts can vary, so follow the instructions displayed in your account. Netflix: Watching Netflix while traveling Netflix: Netflix Household

Netflix says opening its app on the home Household Wi-Fi at least once a month can help avoid interruptions while traveling. This is not a promise that the UK catalogue will be available abroad. Netflix describes a Household in terms of devices connected at the main viewing place and says it uses IP address, device IDs, and account activity to determine it. It also says, “We do not collect GPS data to try to determine the precise physical location of your devices.” Netflix: Netflix Household
Can a VPN show the UK Netflix catalogue?
Do not count on it. Netflix says that when you use a VPN, you may be shown only shows and movies for which it has worldwide licensing. That does not amount to a promise that a VPN will make UK-only titles available. Netflix also says VPNs are not supported for live events or for ad-supported experiences.
