Yes. Apple’s US listing currently marks the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix as “Watch Free on Apple TV.” Coverage is listed for 1:50 a.m. ET on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with the race scheduled for 3:00 a.m. ET. The event is held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, despite its Bahrain Grand Prix name.
When to watch the Bahrain Grand Prix
Apple’s US schedule lists the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia for Sunday, October 4, at 3:00 a.m. ET; its event listing says coverage begins at 1:50 a.m. ET. At the time Apple’s listing was checked on October 3, this means the broadcast begins overnight into Sunday morning for viewers on the US East Coast. The FIA and Formula One Management confirm that the Bahrain Grand Prix is being staged at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from October 2–4, 2026.

What “free” means for this race
Apple’s US event page specifically labels this race “Watch Free on Apple TV,” so a subscription is not required to watch this event while that offer remains available. That does not mean every 2026 Grand Prix is free: Apple says every practice and selected race weekends are available without a subscription, while full coverage of every Grand Prix, qualifying session, and Sprint requires an Apple TV subscription.

Apple’s current F1 page displays a seven-day Apple TV trial followed by $14.99 per month for the broader subscription. That plan is not needed for this race as currently listed. Apple says US Apple TV subscribers also receive F1 TV Premium at no extra cost; that is a subscriber benefit, not free access for everyone.

How to watch on a TV, phone, or other device
Open the Apple TV app or visit tv.apple.com, then find the Bahrain Grand Prix event and select the free viewing option. Apple lists support across Apple devices, Android, smart TVs, streaming devices, and gaming consoles, so an Apple TV 4K is not required.
For viewers who want multiple camera angles and data feeds at once, Apple identifies Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Vision Pro as Multiview-capable devices, with up to four feeds displayed simultaneously. Apple also says full replays, highlights, interviews, and press conferences are available after races if you miss the overnight live coverage.

Is there a free Tubi broadcast?
Apple has announced free, creator-hosted F1 altcasts on Tubi for multiple 2026 races, beginning with Miami. Its announcement does not confirm a Tubi altcast for the October 4 Bahrain Grand Prix, so check Tubi’s current event schedule rather than assuming this race will be available there. The confirmed free option for this event is Apple’s own listing.
