How to Watch the Asian Games Live or on Demand in Your Country

Start with the Olympic Council of Asia’s Asian Games Hub, then check the official broadcaster or streaming service in your country for the sport you want. The OCA describes the Hub as offering free live streams and replays worldwide, but local coverage, schedules and replay windows can differ. Aichi-Nagoya 2026 was scheduled to end on October 4, 2026; after that date, check the service’s archive rather than assuming a live page or replay is still available.

Where can I watch the Asian Games?

The OCA Asian Games Hub is the worldwide starting point. The OCA announced it as a digital broadcast and media hub for its multisport events, with free live streaming and replays for fans across Asia and worldwide. It says the OTT service works on internet-connected smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and computers, without a cable subscription or set-top box. Those are the announced service scope and supported device types; check the Hub’s current catalog and confirm a stream plays from your location.

Broadcast rights are also distributed through rights-holding broadcasters. The OCA said on September 15, 2026, that 23 rights-holding broadcasters had signed up, but that announcement did not list all of them. The examples below are verified destinations, not a complete country directory.

Country or scope Official destination What is confirmed Limit to keep in mind
Worldwide starting point OCA Asian Games Hub The OCA described free live streams and replays for fans in Asia and worldwide. The announcement does not promise every sport or event in every territory, or state how long replays remain available.
Japan TBS, TVer and U-NEXT The Japan Association of Athletics Federations listed TBS terrestrial broadcasts, TVer real-time streaming and highlights, and U-NEXT streams across up to seven simultaneous channels for more than 20 sports. U-NEXT warned that some events might not be streamable and schedules could change.
Thailand AIS PLAY AIS announced official OTT and IPTV rights, including live coverage, highlights and reruns. The announcement does not specify sport-by-sport coverage or how long reruns remain available.
China CCTV Asian Games portal The portal displayed a live closing-ceremony link and dated daily-programming pages for September 19 through October 4. This does not establish access outside China or continuing archive availability.

How to find the right stream in your country

  1. Search the OCA Hub first. Look for the Asian Games and the specific sport or event. Check that the listing is available and playable from your location.
  2. If the event is missing, check your national broadcaster. Look at the official television network or streaming provider for your country. Rights and distribution can vary by territory; a service named for another market may not be available to you.
  3. Open the sport-level listing and schedule. A general Games landing page does not guarantee that every event is carried. Check the event detail page, start time and any platform notice before you plan to watch.
  4. Confirm access and device requirements on the service. Check whether the stream requires an account or payment, which devices it supports, and the commentary language. These details are not established for every service in the examples above.

Why coverage differs by sport and platform

The host broadcaster’s production plan is not the same as a promise that every local service will carry every feed. The OCA host broadcaster plan called for live coverage of 28 sports, ENG coverage for 15 others, English commentary in ten sports, daily highlights and an “After the Games” review. Local broadcasters choose what they distribute, and U-NEXT specifically warned that some events might not be streamable and schedules could change.

For the Japan U-NEXT offering, its October 3 notice listed coverage across up to seven simultaneous channels and more than 20 sports. The Japan Olympic Committee’s March 6, 2026, overview described 43 sports across 45 countries and regions; U-NEXT’s October notice also described 43 sports and 469 events. These are figures from separate dated notices, and the event count is specifically U-NEXT’s, not a universal measure of what every platform carried.

Can I watch Asian Games replays?

The OCA said its Hub would provide replays, and AIS announced reruns as part of AIS PLAY’s offering. Those announcements do not give a guaranteed post-event retention period. Since Aichi-Nagoya 2026 was scheduled to close on October 4, 2026, look in the service’s on-demand or replay catalog now and check whether the particular event is still listed. Do not assume that a live page remains active or that a replay stays available indefinitely.

What if you cannot find a country-specific rights holder?

The OCA’s announcement confirms that 23 rights-holding broadcasters signed up but does not enumerate all 23 or provide a complete country-by-country service list. If the Hub does not show your sport, check the official national broadcaster and the event’s local schedule. Treat the examples above as market-specific confirmations, not evidence that those services cover other countries.
