You can watch regional-language movies purchased or rented through YouTube by signing in to the same Google account used for the transaction and opening your YouTube Movies & TV or library area on a supported device. Astra Streaming is not the tool for this: DataStax Astra Streaming moves application data, while Astra Streaming Studio is a mobile live-video broadcasting app. Neither is documented as a way to play YouTube movies.
What “Astra Streaming” means here
The title brings together separate products and tasks: watching a movie, broadcasting live video, and moving application data. They are not one workflow.

- Sign in to YouTube. Use the Google account that made the purchase or rental. A different account may not show the transaction in its library.
- Open your movie library. On a supported phone, browser or TV device, go to YouTube’s Movies & TV or library area and select the title available to your account. Labels and navigation can vary by device and region.
- Play the movie on that device. Google documents watching purchased or rented content on supported mobile, browser and TV devices. Availability of a particular movie depends on region and the relevant catalog.
- For a television, use a supported TV device or Chromecast. Google documents casting video to a TV with Chromecast. The exact controls depend on the device and YouTube interface.

If you want South Indian regional-language content
Astro’s Simply South is a distinct option for Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam video content. Astro says it is available worldwide except India, and lists web and mobile apps and certain Astro boxes as access methods. Check its current availability and catalog for your location; this is not a YouTube feature or a connection to either Astra product.
Why Astra Streaming Studio is not a movie-watching method
The Google Play listing describes Astra Streaming Studio as an app for broadcasting live video from a mobile device, including use as an IP camera or video recorder. Broadcasting video is different from watching a movie from YouTube. The listing does not establish a YouTube movie player or permission to rebroadcast copyrighted films.

Likewise, DataStax Astra Streaming is intended for application data streams and event processing. Neither product’s documented purpose provides a route to play regional-language movies from YouTube.
If your goal is to keep a YouTube video stream live
