You can install and open the app before deciding whether to pay. Use that opportunity to see whether both shows appear, which seasons are listed, and whether the desired audio and subtitles are offered. Use the title search, not only the home page
In Crunchyroll, select the search control and enter One Piece. Choose the series result rather than a news item, clip, collection, or related film. Open the season or episode selector and scroll through the entries. This reveals whether your account can play the episodes you actually want instead of merely showing that the franchise exists.
Check the audio and subtitle menu
Start an episode or open its details and inspect the language controls. Crunchyroll can present separate subtitled and dubbed versions, and the choices can vary by territory. If Japanese audio, English subtitles, or a particular dub is important, verify that option on the PS5 itself. Do not infer the available tracks from a screenshot or a listing viewed in another country.

Understand the 2026 Elbaph announcement
Crunchyroll News announced on February 17, 2026, that the One Piece anime would continue on Crunchyroll when the Elbaph Arc premiered on April 5, 2026, and described sub and dub availability. That date is a schedule announcement, not a guarantee that every earlier episode or every language track is licensed in every market. On a PS5 today, use the local episode list to establish what your account can play.
Finding Jujutsu Kaisen and checking seasons
Search for the exact title
Search for Jujutsu Kaisen in Crunchyroll and select the series page. The official page uses the capitalization JUJUTSU KAISEN, so try that spelling if a general search does not return the expected result. Open the season selector and look for the episodes you intend to watch.

Streaming services may place a film, special, recap, or promotional video beside the main series. Read each item’s label and episode number. If your goal is to follow the television story in order, begin with the first listed season and use the service’s episode numbering rather than assuming that a related item is the next episode.
Confirm playback before subscribing
Play a short portion of an episode while signed in. Check that video loads, subtitles display correctly, and the desired audio track is selectable. This catches regional or account-level restrictions before you pay for access you cannot use.
Why your catalog may differ from someone else’s

Can Netflix play both shows on PS5?
Netflix is another PS5 app you can check, but its public category listing is not evidence of complete coverage. Netflix’s official Shonen Anime category lists Jujutsu Kaisen and a One Piece special. The category does not establish that the full One Piece television run, every Jujutsu Kaisen season, or every episode is available in your country.
- Open Netflix on the PS5 and use its own search field for each title.
- Open the title page and read the season and episode selector, rather than stopping at the search thumbnail.
- Check the maturity notice, audio menu, and subtitle menu for the profile you will use.
- Play an episode to verify that the account can stream it in your location.
If Netflix already forms part of your household subscription, this check may be worthwhile. If you need both complete series and consistent anime language options, compare what Netflix actually displays with the corresponding Crunchyroll listings instead of choosing from a genre page alone.

For a current One Piece viewer
Search the catalog after signing in rather than relying on an old watch list. The Elbaph Arc schedule announced for April 5, 2026, shows why a current episode list matters: new installments can be added while earlier rights, language tracks, or regional windows remain different.
For a Jujutsu Kaisen viewer
Use the season selector to distinguish the television seasons from any film, recap, or bonus listing. Write down the last episode number you completed if you switch services; the two apps may organize seasons and specials differently.

The app does not appear in Media
- Confirm that the PS5 is connected to the internet and that you are signed in to PlayStation Network.
- Check the console’s country or region settings and the local PlayStation Store listing. App availability varies by country.
- Restart the PS5 and search again. If the app remains unavailable, use a supported service shown in your region rather than downloading an unverified application.
The title appears but episodes are locked
- Open the account menu and verify that you are signed in to the intended Crunchyroll or Netflix account.
- Read the episode label to see whether it requires a subscription, has a delayed release, or belongs to a different catalog section.
- Check the local season list and try another episode. A single unavailable entry does not prove that the entire series is missing.
Only a dub or only subtitles are available
- Start playback and open the audio/subtitle menu; do not rely on the language shown in the search result.
- Check the profile language and parental controls, which can affect what the service displays.
- If the desired track is absent, treat that as a catalog limitation for your country or plan. The official pages do not promise identical tracks worldwide.
Video will not play or keeps buffering
- Test another title to determine whether the problem affects the service or only one episode.
- Restart the app, then restart the PS5 and home router if necessary.
- Check for a pending app or system update and install it before trying again.
- If other streaming apps work but one service fails, consult that service’s support channel; if every app fails, troubleshoot the console’s network connection first.
Search returns a film, clip, or unrelated result
- Use the exact series name and select the result labeled as a series.
- Open the details page and look for the season or episode selector.
- For Jujutsu Kaisen, try the official capitalization JUJUTSU KAISEN; for One Piece, avoid selecting a special when you need the television series.
Using the controller and optional remote
The standard PS5 controller is sufficient for searching, selecting episodes, changing audio and subtitles, pausing, and seeking. A PlayStation 5 Media Remote is optional: PlayStation says it can control movies and streaming services, but it is not required to watch either anime. Buy or use one only for convenience, not to unlock additional catalog access or improve licensing availability.
Checklist before you pay
- Both titles found: You can open a series page for One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen in the app you plan to use.
- Episodes confirmed: The seasons and episode numbers you want are visible in your local catalog.
- Language confirmed: Japanese audio, subtitles, or a dub you require is selectable on the PS5.
