In Australia in 2026, stream selected NRL matches free on 9Now when they are being shown by Channel 9, or use Kayo or Foxtel for broader live coverage. Kayo carries regular-season matches live and on demand, but its 2026 guidance says the Grand Final is delayed. Check the official fixture and broadcaster schedule for the specific match you want.

How to stream a match on 9Now
- Check the official NRL fixture and the 9Now NRL schedule to confirm the match is listed for Channel 9 coverage.
- Open 9Now and create or sign in to a Nine profile.
- Select the live Channel 9 stream when the match is scheduled. 9Now’s NRL selection is not the complete competition.
How Kayo’s NRL coverage and plans differ
Kayo’s official 2026 NRL information says regular-season matches are available live and on demand, and finals matches before the Grand Final are live. The same guidance says Kayo’s Grand Final coverage is delayed, so do not assume that a Kayo stream is live for that match. Check the current broadcaster schedule for exact timing.

Foxtel advertises every game of every round live for 2026 and also offers Foxtel Now. Its NRL page identifies Fox League as the place to see every game of every round live. A current package price that includes NRL is not established, so compare the provider’s live package details rather than assuming Foxtel is cheaper or more expensive than Kayo.

Why Watch NRL is not the Australian option
Watch NRL is intended for viewers outside Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Its official help page directs Australian viewers to Kayo or Foxtel, so it is not the service to choose for watching from Australia.
What you need to watch online
You do not necessarily need to buy a new streaming device. Kayo supports a range of devices, including Amazon Fire TV Stick. Check whether your current television, console, phone or streaming device is supported before spending on hardware.
Rights context for 2026
On 7 July 2026, the NRL announced a A$5.3 billion media-rights agreement with Foxtel Group, Nine and Sky NZ. Foxtel Group says its Kayo and Foxtel NRL and NRLW rights run through 2034, including home-and-away matches and finals except the Grand Final. This longer rights term does not establish that future apps, subscription prices, device support or match allocations will remain unchanged. For 2026, use the service and schedule information above and recheck coverage for later seasons.
