For a U.S. subscriber traveling abroad, check DAZN NFL Travel Pass before you leave. DAZN says the pass lets Americans traveling outside the United States watch its NFL Game Pass internationally in more than 200 countries, but it excludes the U.S., Canada and China. NFL+ is available only in the United States, so it is not the international solution. Your exact live-game access still depends on the destination, local broadcast rights, blackouts, subscription type and supported devices.
Before relying on any service, identify both your home market and destination, check that country’s current rights and blackout terms, confirm your account and device can sign in there, and review the weekly game listings. A subscription that works at home is not automatically portable across borders.

Why your home subscription may not work abroad
NFL distribution is territorial. The league licenses games to different broadcasters and platforms in different countries, so the same account can expose different games—or no playable stream—after your location changes. NFL support warns that availability on NFL+ and other platforms is subject to broadcast rights and blackout restrictions.

There are three separate questions to answer:
- Where is your subscription intended to operate? NFL+ is U.S.-only. DAZN’s Travel Pass is specifically described for Americans traveling outside the U.S., not as a universal pass for every subscriber or every border crossing.
- Where are you physically watching? The destination determines which rights and blackouts apply. A package that is permitted in one country may be restricted in another.
- Which game and window do you need? A destination may carry Sunday afternoon games but restrict a particular matchup, or offer a game live through one broadcaster and later on demand through another.
Do not treat the word “international” as a promise that every game is live in every country. It describes the service’s market, while the actual schedule remains subject to local agreements.
Step-by-step: prepare to watch before departure
- Write down your home market and destination. Record the country where your subscription was purchased, the country you will visit, the dates you will be there and the games you care about. Rights are determined by location, and a multi-country trip can expose you to different rules in each stop.
- Identify your exact subscription. Check whether you have NFL+, a domestic TV package, DAZN NFL Game Pass or another provider’s NFL access. Keep the account email, password and any two-factor authentication method available. Do not assume that a U.S. NFL+ subscription converts into international Game Pass access.
- If you are a U.S. traveler, check NFL Travel Pass eligibility. DAZN describes Travel Pass for Americans traveling outside the United States and says its international scope covers over 200 countries. The same documentation explicitly excludes the U.S., Canada and China. Read the current destination list and terms for your travel dates; the scope statement is not a substitute for confirming your individual country.
- Check the game-by-game schedule. Look for the specific week, kickoff time and destination designation. Confirm whether the matchup is live, delayed, on demand or carried by a local broadcaster. A service page can describe broad coverage while a weekly listing identifies an exception.
- Check local listings as a second route. Search the NFL’s destination information and the official broadcaster schedule for the country you will visit. This is especially useful when a Game Pass blackout affects a game you need to see live.
- Test the account and device at home. Sign in on the browser, phone, tablet or television you plan to use. Confirm that the app is available for your device and that your account can complete any provider or cable sign-in. A successful home test cannot prove foreign playback, but it can expose password, app-version and two-factor problems before you leave.
- Save an offline plan. Keep the official schedule, support page and account-recovery details accessible without relying on a hotel television. If a game is delayed by a blackout, note the stated on-demand release time so you do not waste time repeatedly refreshing a blocked live stream.
DAZN NFL Travel Pass: the main option for U.S. travelers
DAZN’s official help documentation says, “NFL Travel Pass on DAZN allows American’s traveling outside the U.S. to watch DAZN’s NFL Game Pass product internationally in over 200 countries around the world*.” The wording and asterisk belong to DAZN’s documentation; read the accompanying exclusions and terms rather than relying on the headline claim alone.
Who should check it
This route is aimed at an American who normally watches in the United States and is temporarily abroad. It is not a reason to assume that every international resident, permanent relocation or cross-border account will qualify. DAZN’s stated exclusions are the United States, Canada and China, and destination availability must still be confirmed for the country on your itinerary.
What to verify
- The destination appears as eligible for the dates of your trip.
- The games you need are included live rather than subject to a local blackout.
- Your existing login, payment profile and account region meet the current terms.
- The app or browser you intend to use is supported in that destination.
- The current price, billing period and cancellation rules shown at checkout.
Because destination prices and terms can change, do not budget from a price seen in another country or from an older season. The official checkout is the authoritative place to see the offer available to your account.
DAZN NFL Game Pass in countries outside the United States
NFL.com presents DAZN NFL Game Pass as the international route for every NFL game live, subject to broadcast rights and local blackouts. That description is broad; the practical result is still country-specific. Open the destination version of the service and inspect its blackout notice for the week you will watch.

United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland live-game exception
DAZN’s 2026 guidance says that two Sunday regular-season games are blacked out live each week in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. The affected games become available on demand 24 hours after the game concludes. The broadcaster selects the weekly games, and DAZN says additional restrictions may be implemented.
This means a Game Pass subscription in either country does not guarantee that every Sunday matchup starts live on DAZN. If one of the two affected games is essential, use the local broadcaster information below to look for an authorized live alternative, or plan to watch the on-demand version after the stated delay.
Other destinations
Do not copy the U.K. and Ireland rule into another country. The NFL says rights and blackouts depend on local agreements, so another destination may have a different number of restrictions, different affected windows or no equivalent rule. Check the destination page and the weekly listing for the country where you will actually be watching.
NFL+ while traveling: the key limitation
NFL support states that NFL+ is available only in the United States and directs viewers outside the country to DAZN. A U.S. NFL+ login therefore should not be treated as an international travel pass. If you are already abroad, check the applicable DAZN international route and local rights instead of repeatedly reinstalling the NFL app or changing device settings.
When you return to the United States, the situation reverses: the U.S. NFL+ service may be relevant again, while DAZN Travel Pass is not a substitute for checking the domestic offer. Keep the two products conceptually separate because their geographic eligibility is different.

Local broadcasters can fill a blackout or offer a simpler stream
A local broadcaster may be the best option for a particular game, especially when an international package has a live blackout. Availability, language, authentication and schedule all depend on the destination, so use the provider’s own current listings.

NFL.com’s 2026 United Kingdom and Ireland overview says Sky Sports carries more than half of NFL games live in the U.K. It also says two Sunday games are available free to air across 5’s platforms each regular-season Sunday. These outlets are destination- and season-specific; check the listing for the exact week rather than assuming that every game appears on free television.
Republic of Ireland in the 2026 season
The same NFL overview says Virgin Media Television will show at least 22 games per season in Ireland under a three-season agreement running through 2028. That is a minimum seasonal commitment, not a promise that the game you want will be selected on a particular week. Compare its schedule with the DAZN blackout notice.
How to check a local option
- Open the NFL’s current international or destination overview for the country.
- Open each named broadcaster’s schedule for your travel dates.
- Match the kickoff time and game to your itinerary, including any time-zone conversion.
- Confirm whether the broadcast is free to air, requires a local subscription or needs a provider login.
- Check that the broadcaster’s website or app works on your device and network.
Device, app and sign-in requirements
Connected-TV viewing is possible in some setups, but it is not a compatibility guarantee. NFL support discusses connected-TV apps and NFL.com desktop viewing while noting that access may require a cable or streaming-provider sign-in. Neither a television’s presence in your home nor a working domestic login proves that the same app, provider or content is supported in the destination.
Before you leave
- Update the relevant app and operating system while you still have reliable internet.
- Sign in on every device you may use and complete two-factor authentication.
- Record the exact provider credentials if the app requests a cable or streaming-service login.
- Check the destination app store or official device-support page for availability.
- Bring a second supported screen, such as a laptop or phone, if your primary television setup fails.
If the television shows an error
First determine whether the failure is technical or rights-related. An error that says the app is unavailable, the provider is unsupported or the account cannot authenticate requires device or login troubleshooting. A message that a game is unavailable in your location is usually a rights or blackout condition; reinstalling the app will not remove it. Check the official schedule and support page before changing account settings.

Blackouts, delayed viewing and common failure scenarios
The game is missing from the live schedule
Check the destination’s weekly listing and local broadcaster schedule. If you are in the U.K. or Republic of Ireland, determine whether the matchup is one of the two Sunday regular-season games DAZN lists as live-blackout selections. DAZN says those games are released on demand 24 hours after conclusion.
Your U.S. subscription says you are outside the service area
If the product is NFL+, that behavior is consistent with NFL support’s U.S.-only availability statement. Look for the DAZN international route instead. If you are checking Travel Pass, verify that you are an eligible American traveler and that the destination is not one of DAZN’s stated exclusions.
The app works on your phone but not the hotel television
Use the phone or computer as the immediate fallback, then verify whether the television model, operating system and destination support the same app. A connected-TV app may require a separate provider sign-in even when mobile playback works.
The service asks for a second login
Some connected-TV and desktop viewing paths may require a cable or streaming-provider credential. Use the provider listed by the NFL or service, not a random account associated with the hotel or television. If you cannot complete authentication, switch to a device and access method you tested before departure.
Recommended Free Tools
You are crossing several countries
Recheck the rights and blackout terms at every border. A pass that is eligible in the first destination can expose a different schedule in the next one. Save each country’s official listing and note which games are live, delayed or locally televised.
Prices, billing and travel connectivity
Current destination-specific prices are not established uniformly and should not be inferred from another country’s checkout. Verify the currency, billing period, renewal date, cancellation terms and any one-time travel eligibility shown by the official service at the time you subscribe.
A stable connection is necessary for streaming, but the available information does not establish that a particular eSIM, hotspot or mobile provider is required or supported. Treat travel connectivity as a separate planning question: confirm that your hotel, mobile plan or other lawful connection can sustain the video quality you want, and keep a legal on-demand or local-broadcast fallback for a weak connection.

- U.S. subscriber visiting another country: start with DAZN NFL Travel Pass, then verify destination eligibility, the exact game schedule and device access.
- Viewer already living or staying outside the U.S.: check the destination’s DAZN NFL Game Pass offer and local broadcasters; do not assume NFL+ is available.
- Traveling to the U.K. or Republic of Ireland: account for DAZN’s two Sunday regular-season live blackouts each week and compare the affected games with Sky Sports, 5’s U.K. platforms or Virgin Media Television in Ireland.
