You can watch Apple’s live Friday Night Baseball, MLS, and Formula 1 coverage in the United States through the Apple TV app with an Apple TV subscription. You do not need an Apple TV 4K box: the app works on supported smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, computers, mobile devices, and at tv.apple.com/sports. In 2026, MLS matches and exclusive programming are included with Apple TV; MLS Season Pass is no longer a separate subscription.
What live sports are included with Apple TV?
Apple’s sports guide names three offerings available with an Apple TV subscription: Friday Night Baseball, MLS, and Formula 1. Events are seasonal, so the relevant game, match, or race must be in season and available to watch. Apple TV does not automatically include every sport or event you can find in the app.

How to watch a live game, match, or race
- Make sure the Apple TV app is available on your device, or open tv.apple.com/sports.
- Sign in with the Apple Account associated with your Apple TV subscription. If you are using a streaming device or game console, install or set up the Apple TV app first. Updating the app or device can help if the app is unavailable or not working as expected.
- In the app, search for Friday Night Baseball, MLS, or F1. Select the sport’s channel, choose the live event, and select Watch.
- If you do not see the event, check that it is in season and that the listing is available for your region and account.
Apple notes that channel, subscription, sport, and store availability can vary by region and device. For current U.S. event availability, use the event listing in the app or on Apple’s sports page.

What changed for MLS in 2026?
Beginning with the 2026 season, all MLS matches and exclusive programming moved into the Apple TV subscription. The separate MLS Season Pass subscription ended after the 2025 season. Avoid older instructions that tell you to buy MLS Season Pass separately for 2026 coverage. Apple Support’s MLS subscription update describes the change.
Do you need an Apple TV device?
No. “Apple TV” can refer to the Apple TV app and subscription, as well as Apple’s Apple TV 4K streaming hardware. The hardware is optional if you already have a supported device. Apple lists the app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles and cable set-top boxes where supported, as well as Windows and Android devices and the web. Check app availability for your specific model before relying on it.

If you want to watch on a living-room screen, use a supported smart TV or streaming device if you have one; an Apple TV 4K is one possible option, not a requirement. You can also watch on a compatible computer or mobile device, or use the web player.

On Apple TV hardware, Apple’s MLS guide describes live viewing, Start Over, catch-up through key plays, full replays, and recaps. Local radio audio is available for a match when offered. - Confirm the sport is included: Apple names Friday Night Baseball, MLS, and Formula 1. Other sports may require a separate provider subscription.
