How to Watch Live Field Hockey: Streams, Scores and Match Stats

To watch a field hockey match live, start at the official FIH page for that competition and open its Where to Watch information for your country. Rights vary by event and territory, so the listed local broadcaster or streaming service is the best route to a legal stream. If video is unavailable, the FIH competition page can still provide fixtures, live scores, results, standings and statistics.

Find the official stream for your match

  1. Open the official competition or event page. Find the specific match, not just the tournament homepage.
  2. Check Where to Watch for your country or territory. Follow the rights-holder named for that event. FIH’s Pro League and 2026 World Cup listings organize coverage by territory and, for the World Cup, participating teams. The provider information shown may vary by page view.
  3. Check Watch.Hockey if the event listing offers it. The FIH describes the service as providing live and on-demand matches, live stats, extended highlights and a video library. Availability depends on broadcast agreements, so confirm access for your location on the current event page.
  4. Confirm the match time and access terms on the service itself. Check whether the match is live or available later, whether viewing is free or requires a subscription, and whether the listing covers the match you want.

There is no single service established as carrying every field hockey competition in every country. FIH’s Pro League Where to Watch page and 2026 World Cup Where to Watch page illustrate how coverage is organized by event and territory; use the current listing for the competition you plan to watch.

Use Watch.Hockey when the match is available there

Watch.Hockey is the FIH streaming option for matches offered on the service. FIH’s 2025 launch announcement described live and on-demand matches, statistics, highlights and a video library, and said mobile video could be cast to Chromecast. That announcement also said the platform was expected over time to stream more than 600 events live; this was a projection, not a current count of available events. Check the service for its current catalogue and terms.

The same 2025 announcement described geoblocking in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka at launch because of broadcasting agreements. Those launch-era restrictions are not a reliable guide to today’s availability; check the specific event and your location.

For a match in progress

Use the official FIH competition or event page for fixtures, live or upcoming match views, results, standings and competition statistics. The current FIH Pro League page exposes these sections, making it useful even when you cannot watch video.

For historical player and match information

The FIH 2024–25 media kit describes the Hockey Data Hub as covering more than 15,000 players and 7,000 matches played since 2013. Those are figures stated in that season’s media kit, not a live count of the database today.

Free coverage depends on the event and country

Some matches may be free to watch, but a free option for one event does not establish access to another. On 6 August 2026, Channel 4 announced that specified England, Scotland and Wales matches at the 2026 FIH World Cup would be available free on Channel 4 Sport YouTube in the UK. The World Cup dates have passed, so this is an example of event-specific coverage rather than a current viewing offer. Channel 4 also described a three-year FIH Pro League deal covering all England men’s and women’s matches and selected neutral matches; that scope should not be read as coverage of every Pro League match.
