In the U.S., the right way to watch golf depends on the tournament and the feed you want. Check the event’s current listing first: ESPN carries subscribed ESPN content, including PGA TOUR LIVE coverage, while Peacock lists selected golf events. Then confirm your subscription or TV-provider access and whether your device is supported.
Choose the service by tournament and feed
There is no single subscription in these listings that promises every golf event. Rights and schedules vary by tournament and market, and a main broadcast may be offered separately from featured groups, featured holes, or other live feeds. Check the current event listing for the specific date and coverage you want.

ESPN and PGA TOUR LIVE
PGA TOUR and ESPN describe PGA TOUR LIVE as coverage in the ESPN app, with additional live coverage and feeds. ESPN’s golf page also describes ESPN Select subscribers as having ESPN+ access, including PGA TOUR and other programming. Availability and subscription requirements can differ by event and feed, so use the current listing rather than assuming every golf broadcast is included in the same package. ESPN Watch and the PGA TOUR site are starting points for checking current coverage. [c005] [c006]
Peacock
Peacock’s golf page advertises PGA TOUR, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and USGA events, and describes Peacock Premium as including live sports and events. Peacock says, “Catch the PGA Tour, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, USGA events, and tons of tourney action all year long.” That is service marketing copy, not a guarantee that every event, broadcast window, or extra feed will be available. Check the listing for the tournament you plan to watch. [c004]

Check access before you settle in
For ESPN, a participating TV package that includes ESPN may let you authenticate in the app; the available content mirrors that TV service. ESPN says full access to its streaming content requires a current subscription with an eligible package. Confirm the access option shown for the particular event before relying on a provider login. [c001] [c009]
For either service, verify the tournament listing, your subscription or provider access, and the exact feed. A service carrying one part of an event does not establish that it also carries every round, main broadcast, or featured-group stream.

Watch on a smart TV
- Check compatibility. Look up your TV’s model and operating system on the service’s current supported-device list. A service supporting a TV platform does not necessarily support every television that uses it. [c002] [c003]
- Install or open the app. Search the TV’s app store for ESPN or Peacock and install the service if it is available for your model. Peacock’s instructions are to find and install the app, open it, then sign in or select a plan. [c007]
- Sign in and find the event. Open the service’s sports or live section and search for the tournament and the feed you want. Confirm the listing is live or scheduled for your viewing time.
If the TV does not support the app, check devices you already own before buying anything. ESPN lists platforms including Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Android TV devices, and several smart-TV systems; it also says AirPlay is supported. Peacock lists Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Google TV, and Hisense VIDAA among its supported platforms. Check the official list for your exact model. A Fire TV device is one possible option, not a requirement for watching golf. [c002] [c003]
Watch on a phone or tablet
Install the relevant app from your device’s app store, sign in with the required subscription or TV-provider account, and open the event from the service’s sports or live area. Device and operating-system requirements can change, so check the current compatibility list if the app is unavailable or will not install.
