In the United States during the 2026 Formula 1 season, Apple TV is the official place to watch live F1. Open the Apple TV app on a compatible TV, phone, tablet, streaming device, or console, or watch in a computer browser at tv.apple.com. Most full-session access requires a subscription, but Apple lists every practice and select race weekends as available without one. Broadcast rights differ by country, so these instructions are for U.S. viewers.
Choose the screen you want to watch on
You do not need to buy an Apple TV streaming box if the Apple TV app is already available on a device you own. Apple lists the following viewing options; support can vary by model, so check your device’s app store or Apple’s current F1 viewing FAQ.

How to start watching a race
- On your TV, phone, tablet, streaming device, or console, open the Apple TV app. On a computer, go to tv.apple.com.
- Sign in with the Apple Account that has access to Apple TV. If you do not have a subscription, check whether the specific event is listed as available without one.
- Open the Formula 1 section or search for the event you want to watch.
- Select the practice, qualifying session, Sprint, or Grand Prix feed that is available for that event. If the live broadcast has ended, look for its replay or highlights.
What you can watch, and whether it is free
Apple says its U.S. subscription includes every practice, qualifying session, Sprint, and Grand Prix in the 2026 season. Apple also lists every practice and select race weekends as available without a subscription; that does not mean every race or session is free. Check the listing for the particular event before race day. Apple’s April 29, 2026 announcement listed a $12.99 monthly Apple TV subscription and a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. That was the offer stated on that date, not a guarantee of the current price or trial; verify the terms when subscribing.

Replays and highlights
If you miss a live session, Apple says full replays and highlights are available for races and track events during a Grand Prix, along with interviews, press conferences, and other programming. Formula 1 also identifies full replays, highlights, and Race in 30 as catch-up options. Availability and placement may vary by event; look in the event listing in Apple TV. Formula 1’s announcement describes the service integration.

Commentary and broadcast feeds
Apple says English and Spanish commentary are available and that viewers can access F1 TV and Sky Sports broadcasts when watching F1 on Apple TV. Apple also says U.S. Apple TV subscribers receive F1 TV Premium at no additional cost through their Apple Account. Formula 1 says its F1 TV app offers F2, F3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup through the subscription on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone. See Apple’s viewing details and Formula 1’s announcement for the stated feed and app options.
Multiview
Apple says Multiview can show up to four feeds at once on supported Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Vision Pro devices. It is an optional feature, not a requirement for watching a single feed. Check the device and app’s current support if Multiview is the reason you are choosing a screen.

- Yahoo Sports: Live practice and qualifying sessions were announced.
